Mi sono sempre trovato bene ,soprattutto quando ti occorre qualcosa che deve fare la differenza
Très costaud et fiable
A few hundred miles in on these tires and they ride great. Gone thru glass and other sketchy urban debris and no flats. Would recommend!
In the past, very few flats with this tire,
Excellent tires offering a smooth ride, traction and best puncture resistance I’ve found. I’ve used for years.
on my 3rd set of these. not one flat. best tire on the market. usually get about 5k miles per set
5000 miles out of these w/ one front-back rotation. Only got one flat from a sharktooth rock. I actually ran over staples that got stuck in the tire but didnt puncture it, these things are tough. A great solution if you're riding on gritty Austin roads. Though, I feel like these are the fat kid of road tires.
definitely getting less flats
This is a tire that will stand up to the "stuff" left on the road
Nine months ago I purchased a used Roubaix Sport that was wearing Armadillo All-weather tires, the age and mileage of which were unknown. The tread looked okay but there appeared to be some age-related dry rot, cracking. I put over 2,000 miles on those tires before hitting something with the rear and removing approx an 1/8"" square chunk of tread. The damaged rear tire got me home just fine with no pressure loss. However, I decided to replace it and chose the Armadillo Elite. I've put 330 miles on the new tire and am very happy with it. Smoother than the All-weather and has held up to my constant ""hitting trash"" in the road. I will replace the front old all-weather Armadillo with this elite in the near future.
These tires provide a smooth ride on rough roads. They are also made with superior materials, as I have had to ride many miles on them AFTER the rubber has worn through.
I absolutely love these tires and would not change a thing about them. They are comfortable and compliant as I roll over the sometimes choppy tarmac here in south-central Pennsylvania. The tread is tough as nails and the only reason I had to replace my previous set was that I had worn the tread flat over the past 18-months.
The most important components on your bike, whether a beater or an expensive, modern machine, and everything in between, are your tires. An excellent tire inspires confidence in handling, responds quickly and confidently to input, holds a tight, high speed corner with a sure grip, and rolls fast with the spin. All of the above, with puncture protection that works, means more time with the wind in your face, rather than dealing with regular flats. This is the best tire I've ridden for security and excellent handling, and I believe a great choice for all those high mileage, recreational riders.
On my second pair, these tires never seem to flat! Roll real nice too. Easy to install.
I have been using these tires exclusively for nine years. Never had a puncture flat in seven years riding NE Connecticut roads, or the past two years in SE Georgia roads. I usually change them when the smooth center belt width doubles, and then I use them on my trainer until the blow out. :)
Summertime Saturday regional group rides are long and hot in Northeast Arkansas. And that includes all kinds of road grit and trash, rough shoulders, road kill, mean dogs, and all kinds of different rural asphalt and concrete road and highway textures! Every year at this time, my ride gets a new pair of these Armadillo Elites (from Gearhead Cycle House in Jonesboro). It's a small price to pay for the reliability and peace of mind! I promise your ""no flat"" odds are greatly improved with a set of these .... Really !
Was getting puncture flats almost everyday for a few weeks. Trails and roads haven't been in the best shape early in the year. They still aren't but I haven't gotten any flats. They are slower than my Grand Prixs.
