    Dimensions on the Money

Based on several reviews indicating that replacement tires are narrower than originals, I contacted my local Specialized dealer and asked if they had heard any similar comments. That had NOT. Regardless, I purchased one size up, 28 versus 26. I just finished installing the 28 and the dimensions are on the money (28 mm at 100 psi). It seems reasonable to assume that I would have been OK ordering after all. My rating is based on getting over 4,000 miles on the original tire with ZERO flats. This is remarkable considering more than half of those miles were on debris-filled streets and bike lanes following two major hurricanes in our area.

Might as well ride on inner tubes alone...

These tires are absolute trash! They can't even take small pebbles on the road. I've had three flats since putting them on, and both of tires seem to have small holes (center of tire thread & about 1/2 mm in diameter/2-3 on each) from manufacturing. Not sure if this is a quality control issue or if they've always been this bad. Look elsewhere if you have even the smallest amount of debris on your rides.

    WOW…What happened!

Went in to replace my Turbo 26 that came on my SL7, WOW…made sense to buy the same ones right?! They look like a 23 or less! Didn’t even ride out of my garage, hopefully the shop can exchange them.

Narrower than like for like replacement

Bought these in size 26 to replace a pair of 700x26 Turbo Pro tyres which came in my Tarmac. Specialized must have changed the tyre because the originals on the rims measured 28.5mm inflated on my rims and these new ones are only 26mm. Very disappointing thinking I was getting like for like otherwise I’d have bought the size bigger.

    Narrower than stated width

Good looking tires, actual weight of 700x26 tire is 242 grams on my scale, so lighter than stated by 8 grams. However, the big let down is they are not 26mm wide when installed. My inner rim width is 19mm and these only measure out at 24.5mm when installed and aired up to 90 psi. My other tires, not Specialized brand, that are advertised as 25mm measure out ot 25.8mm on the same rim. So if you're looking for a wider tire and you have the clearance you may want to purchase the next size larger, i.e. a 28mm advertised may actually measure 26.5 on a 19mm inner rim width.

    Narrower Than Original Turbo Pro

Recently ran out of original Turbo Pros and was surprised to find that the same size of T5s, 700X28, was 1.6mm narrower when installed on the same wheels. If you've been riding with the original Turbo Pros in a 700X28, consider getting the T5 in a 700X30 for a comparable width.

    Definitely recommend

I've been riding & master's club racing on another brand for a long timeand i really liked the tires i was running. Out of curiosity I put a set of the Turbo Pro T5 on my Cippolini Logos (endurance model) and have been very impressed with them. They grip great in wet or dry, have lasted very well (over 2500km) and zero punctures on Australias pretty rough roads. I rate these as good as my other (Italian) brand of favourite tyres.
