I have one for each bike!
I have used this tool for years, on multiple bikes and it stays put through the roughest stuff. However, my new headset tool on Enduro is even better (farther from grit and grime), pops out spring loaded. I use it far more often because it is so easy, but only some bikes will have that option and it does have less components than this tool. Both are winners!
Nice design, but not enough tools (chain tool missing) for MTB use
I've used the zee cages for years and love them. This one came on my stumpy, and having the tool attached is super handy. It's also one less thing I have to have to swap between bikes. The tool seems to be securely mounted; I've never had concerns about it falling out while riding.
Works well. Used it for a few weeks now. We’ll see how long it lasts.
Super convenient for tool to be placed under water bottle cage, no issues, used tool many times on rides. Cage is durable and easy to use!
The screw for the tool came loose from riding and I can't buy a new one. Complete waste of money.
The bottle case is well-designed, and I could pick a water bottle smoothly. The tools attached to the case are very convenient, and I loved it. However, one day, I noticed the tool part disappeared midway through a long ride. I am unsure why it was off because I confirmed the screw was tightened before heading out. Since I did not have a backup tool, it was problematic. Also, I cannot find a replacement tool part. I recommend having extra caution with the screw part and/or putting a backup tool if it is a long ride.
Looks sweet, and very practical/functional
The tool is currently impossible to find itself under $40. The tool is quite useful and you don’t even realize it’s there. Would recommend.
Very easy to remove the bottle from the cage and put back. Little stiff at first but after some use it became more flexible. Tool works great.
The Z cage is the best on the market for the money in my experience. Holds the bottle very securely and sideloading allows you to fit a full size bottle in a tighter front triangle (like my Ripmo AF). The tool is easy to pull in and out and has the basic bits you need for the most common things you need to tighten and adjust trailside.
Handy way to have a tool with you and a nice sturdy bottle cage
Part is perfect. Disappointed in shipping
Perfect combo
For minimalist riding, you have this cage with your mini tool , a tubeless Stan’s plug and a CO2 and you can solve about anything to get you back to the car. It doesn’t have a chain breaker but to add that takes more weight and size. That’s about all you loose. I have them on all my mtb, stumpjumper, epic evo, kids mtb, etc.
It has everything you need to adjust, move or fix any part or component from the bike. It's just perfect! It's in a great place to transport, solid and secure to have it with you all the rides.
Excellent design, although it is taking me a bit of time to get used to this design ie placing my bottle in from the right hand side compared to placing my bottle in from the top. My water bottle fits in really secure. The tool clips in secure at the bottom of the cage by a clip which seems robust. The tool is also of robust design and has all the tools required.
I wish they stocked the tool by itself, I had to purchase a bottle cage with it that I didn't need
While it's great to have a SWAT tool on the bike, this option is significantly worse than the head tube option. The tool opening is quite difficult to open, and while this is a right sided cage, the tool holder only opens on the left side. Also the tool is only one sided, so you have to unfold all of the pieces to get to the second set of tools. The head tube tool is way easier to get to (as it's always right in front of you), comes out of the holder easily, and is two sided.
Love this bottle cage! Super useful having the multitool on there and they are lasting forever! Highly recommend.
It’s all here-bottle cage and toolkit. Sweet!
This kit is really slick. Instant access to the essentials and holds a bottle real tight. It's def slightly more effort to take out the bottle than my fidlock but i'd take integrated tool storage over that any day.
Gets all of the tools off of me and onto the bike. It’s great to not have to scramble to collect all of the things before a ride
Such a strong and reliable bottle cage for MTB riding! Been going down some technical terrains with drops, rocks and jumps and my bottle still remains in place. The tool cage is also a plus. Depending on if you wear gloves or not, removing the tool can be cumbersome but has the necessary bits for any emergency bolt checks. Make sure you secure the tool back in place as I have lost one due to my mistake of rushing and not making sure it was locked in. Spend the money and get this bottle cage rather than the cheap one via Amazon.
Bottle cage is great. Holds your bottle really well even on gnarly stuff. The multi tool attached to it has all the tools you readily need and is ideally placed when you tip your bike upside down to fit and remove your wheels. I have one these fitted to two bikes and intend to buy another for a third bike.
Nice side release cage. Tools are handy and minimal. Overall I like it very much.
Tool really compact light definitely great to carry on the go . Really like the quick excess tool box and side pull cage . Definitely recommend.
Great cage and tool. Worth the money.
I have one of these on all of my bikes. The tool has rescued us in the woods far too many times to count.
Awesome little combo. Will be putting one on all my bikes.
Love this new bottle holder with tool!
Great little tool and bottle Holder
Finally, a cage that holds bottles securely! Everyone talks about how good these cages are and now I’m a believer in them too.
Favorite Bootle cage, works great with tight clearances, and the tool is great for on the trail adjustments.
Tried many bottle cages; now always default to this one given it’s side-loading (compact frames), secure hold (never lost a bottle even riding the chunkiest of trails), and integrated mini tool (got me/us out of a pinch on several occasions).
Dose what I need it to do!
My go-to cage on every bike , show me something better? Every bike has a multi tool Justin Case, one is even hidden in the head tube!
A bit costly for a water bottle cage but I can appreciate that it stores a tool so its worth every penny.
The tool is so handy. Totally worth the price. The cage works great. I have this on all of my bikes.
Light weight, fits my bike great, and the tool is so handy to have
Excellent!! No rattles and works great.
The bottle cage is great. Nice and light, holds a bottle tight. The multi tool will do the job in a jam but I will still carry a better one on longer rides.
Very versatile way of carrying tools in mountains
I bought this for my crosstrail mainly so I didn't have to carry around a backpack for my water. It works great and the tool comes in handy when on longer trails or even on some street rides.
At last I'm free of my Camelbak for the majority of my trail riding. With this cage (and a Fidlock for under the down tube), I can carry plenty of water and a multitool, with the rest in my shorts. I feel faster and definitely better balanced when climbing, jumping, dropping, etc. I'll likely add another Zee Cage to my hardtail too. Worth every penny!
Nice cage design, looks good. Love the integrated tool and how it fits easily and firmly into the cage—such a smart concept! Definitely nice to have the tool with you out on longer rides or further from a bike repair station.
I bought an eBike and found that a regular water bottle cage does not work due to the larger size of the middle of the bike due to the battery. But a ""side"" bottle cage works great!!! At first I thought the price was pretty steep but it's made very well, not cheap, and works out great! Looks great too!
Holds the bottle firmly in place. The SWAT tool is very convenient for roadside repairs.
This cage came with my Stumpjumper hardtail when I bought it a few years back. It's come in handy so many times and the greatest part is that you never have to remember to bring it along because it lives on the bike. It's helped after crashes during races and while out with friends on fun rides. It's a necessity at this point and genius design. Never had an issue with it.
