Whether you're going for style, protection, or a little of both, our Trail Pants…
We deliver! Just say when and how.
Relaxed without being too baggy, featuring articulation built for the trail riding position and designed for freedom of movement on the bike and over your pads.
VaporRize™ technology excels at moisture management by pulling sweat away from the skin to regulate body temperature and keep you dry. VaporRize™ fabrics move moisture away from the skin so your sweat is free to evaporate from the fabric’s surface. Meaning you stay dry, comfortable, and riding at your best.
When you hit the trail, we want to give you the confidence to push yourself. We continue to develop and refine our Trail Collection for the DH rider to the trail enthusiast and all the rippers in-between. So, we can all descend faster, jump higher, and dream bigger.
Not too loose. Not too tight. Just right. Using rider data, our patterns are meticulously designed with strategically placed articulation for optimal fit while in the riding position.
Whether you're going for style, protection, or a little of both, our Trail Pants are sure to be your go-to riding pant. We made them from a woven version of our lightweight and ultra-breathable VaporRize™ fabrics. As a result, the pants are more than tough enough to take repeated spills while you're finding your line (or losing it), without sacrificing anything to comfort. And to further this concept, they also include laser perforated venting that's just as effective at dumping excess heat as mesh, only it doesn't create a weakness in the overall strength of the pants. In essence, this means that you won't find yourself blowing them out for a long time to come. In terms of fit, you'll find that these pants are plenty baggy enough to layer pads, but form-fitting enough to not get in the way.

Exactly as advertized.
Love these pants so much I have 4 pairs. They have great stretch and the tapered ankle is cozy on windy days. The only drawback is that on the last two pairs I bought, the zippers came off. The sew it myself fix isn't great. I wonder of the latest redesign of these has a known flaw; it's weird that it happened to the two newest pairs I have. The older pair only had a pocoet that ripped right away. Just a heads up. I'll still buy these, but I won't pay full price again.
Nice pants, except the fit for someone 6ft and 160 lbs with long legs. I could barely get the cuffs over my feet, and my knees hurt after a ride from the tightness. Waste fit but they need more stretch.
True to size. Very comfy. Stretch is on point.
Fit well. Very comfortable while riding. Keep legs warm but not too hot. I recommend them for those cool weather rides.
Nice fit and true to size.
THese pants would be great but they are so tight in the calf and ankle they don't work for me. I don't have abnormal calves and these are skin tight. Also getting them off is a chore requiring you to have a special technique.
These pants are amazing. I want to wear them even when I’m not riding. The material is amazing and durable.
The back is too low , while riding bent over the back is way too low, a couple inches below my jersey. The calves are really tight and I don’t have big calves.
Overall the aim of the pant was well executed with one big exception...if you largeish feet you will struggle taking these off. The good news is most guys aren't picking up ladies (or gentlemen) on the trail so a rush to take your pants off should be of little concern...but it is frustrating.
Fits true to size. Not too loose and not too tight. Great fabric and ventilation. Works fine with slim knee pads, legs would probably be too tight with bulky pads. The ankle openings are tight and take some effort to get on and off.
I do mostly XC riding and we have too much poison oak where I ride, so I'm obligated to wear pants. These are breathable (though I haven't worn them at much higher than around 75F) and durable. I'll be buying another pair. Great fit and I don't notice them when I'm riding.
Excellent pant-Perfect for trail riding-Great fit and quality
People moan a lot about the ankles on these pants being too tight... They are snug for sure, but they are designed to be! Takes a little manoeuvring out of them, but if you're not a brute with them, they are absolutely fine! Really nicely made riding pant overall, plenty of give to fit your pads underneath and a lovely ratchet waist strap.
I have the Demo Pro pants, best pants I own. These pant’s unfortunately are virtually impossible to get on and off the ankle cuffs without damaging pants. They are definitely not to small as the waist and length are generous. I have worn them once but to scared to wear them again incase I rip them.
I needed a pair of long pants for riding in the sun. I've been getting burned even with sunscreen and leg sleeves, so decided to try these trail pants as an option. They are light enough so that they are usable in 90+deg heat, but will need to acclimate for long rides. I am 5'10"/175lbs and bought a 36...too big so I'm ordering a 34.
Excellent for those winter rides with Men's RBX Tights under. Bit hard to get off but just need to stand on then and off they come. Liked them enough to get a second pair.
I'm 5'11, 170 and got a 34, excellent pants, great fit ankle cuffs are great!!
Love the fit
Quality pants. The material is light and breathable. There are two horizontal zippered pockets. I prefer vertical pockets personally since it's easier to zip up or down while riding. I will say these are a slim fit. They are skin tight on my calves and as a result these pants take a little effort to get on and off. If you have "big" calves / legs do not expect these to fit like the model shown in the ad.
I really like it. Good for summer ride.
I love these pants. They are so comfortable I ordered a 2nd pair. I was a little worried about durability as they are so lightweight and flexible but I took a pretty nasty fall yesterday and while my shirt was absolutely shredded (and my torso too) I was shocked to see that the pants survived with no tears or holes. The rest of me not so much but at least I don’t need to replace my pants.
Awesome product. Would definitely purchase it again.
I LOVE these pants. They are super comfortable, lightweight but protective and the waist system is amazing. They feel super good and are really flattering. The ankles are sewn tight, so it is a bit of a struggle to get them over your feet but once they’re on it’s perfect.
Great pant. Had a nasty fall onto sharp loose rock my first time wearing, no tears or scuffs to the pant. Gloves tore, even dislocated my pinky finger. II was wearing bulky G-form knee pads, Fit is fine with room to move freely. My concern from reviews before purchasing was the small tight cuff opening to get my foot through. I had no problem. I’m 5”6” and wear a 9.5 shoe. For me the cuff is snug and comfortable. I’m fine with the black and gray but for others a couple of other color options would be nice. As far warmth i ride in hot and sunny Tucson Arizona it’s winter but temps are mild mid 60’s-mid 70’s I plan on wearing my pants when the temps reach the upper 90’s the pants seem to very breathable.
It's a very nice pair of trail pants with good pockets, zippers and ventilation. The buckle system is nice and works well. The material is stretchy and robust. I took some spills on it with no damage. The big problem with these pants is that the leg cuffs are poorly designed and way too small! I am 5'7' 150 pounds slim build with size 8.5 feet and I almost cannot get my feet through the size 32 trail pants. I understand the cuffs need to be snug so not to get caught in the chain ring but these are ridiculously tiny. I have to pull really hard each time and always afraid that they will rip. The cuffs need to have elastics that have more give or have vertical zippers to allow the feet through. Who came up with the sizing for the cuffs??
I am 5'9, 9 shoes, 32 waist and I have a hard time getting the pants on and off. I can do it, but have to be patient and take my time. Wouldn't want to have to do it out on the trail. Otherwise, pants are great. Great fabric and quality. Plenty roomy from knees up.
They seemed great initially and have continued to be breathable and comfortable. The craftsmanship is what worries me. Just 1 or 2 cycles through the wash and dry caused the elastic to crinkle and become incredibly tight, making them annoying to put on or take off. Not only that but the crotch zipper broke rendering the pants practically useless. Out 135 dollars with nothing of note!
I wear a 32 pant and 10.5 shoe, the pants tore slightly at each ankle just trying to put them on. After just two wears the plastic buckle system fails to release. Had two fellow riders each have their trail pants seats tear on their first ride after just a single tire buzz. Fox makes a much better product. The specialized trail pant is over priced trash.
I am 6’ with a size 10.5 wide shoe. Hard to believe a designer would let these go to production as the ankle cuff is too tight to take off. Otherwise the closure at waist is the bomb and it will fit over pads.
I wasn't even able to try these on. They certainly would have fit if I'd have been able to get my foot through the ankle. The seems ripped the very first time I tried them, tags still on.
Nice looking and comfortable.
Pants is excellent for protection and cooler weather.
I love them. They are great. You have to be careful putting them on bc the elastic on the bottom is tight. But once on they are great to ride in. The clasp belt system instead of snaps or a button above the zipper is also great. I should have bought two pair.
Fit great when they are on but the ankles are tight when putting them on our taking them off
Comfortable fit & true to size. Ankles are a bit tight but no t enough to make them uncomfortable.
As other reviewers have commented they are snug fitting around the ankles and putting them on takes a little extra effort but I actually see this as a good thing. Once on they fit very well and keep the mud and weather from soaking up your legs. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is the DWR wears quickly from your backside (probably from pedaling in the seated position) and a wet bum is inevitable. Perhaps a sturdier fabric or waterproofing would go well in this area of the pants.
Great pants. Ankle is really hard to take till I figured out you have to stand on the pant leg and pull your foot out.
Very nice pair of trail pants. Good fit, convenient clasp for adjustable waist. Plenty of usefull pockets! Took a tumble on it yesterday and it's durable with no damage to the pants. One issue with the pants, the elastic cuffs on the bottom of the pants are way too narrow. It's is pretty difficult to slip the cuffs over the ankle and heel. I have average 8.5 size feet for the 32" waist pants and it was a very tight to slip the feet through the cuffs, to the point you think you may tear the stitchings. Adding a vertical zipper to each pant leg would make usage much easier.
Great pants, even better getting them on sales. Really comfortable, flexible and just warm enough but not too hot while riding
Great riding pant, fits true to size but VERY tight around the ankles which makes getting on and off a bit of a chore but not a deterrent.
Love these. I bought these men’s pants for myself, a woman. They didn’t have the size I wanted, waist size 28 (I’m usually a 27), but I got the 26 and they fit great! Love the material. I don’t personally have issues with the cuffs at the bottom being too tight like some people seem to have. 👍
I just got these on sale and have not been riding in them yet. Overall they seem good except one issue. The ankles are too small and I could barely get my feet through. I think it busted a few threads trying these on actually. The rest feel fine for fit but I’m saying “runs small” because I don’t need to fight to get my feet in or out of my pants.
Great!!! 5 Stars!!!
Great fitting pants. Looks good and the right amount of pockets. Good for my gravel and mountain biking. Enough room for knee pads. The biggest bad and like everyone else, the ankles are extremely tight making taking it off or putting them on difficult. Once on, for me they’re great. Slim side so they won’t rub on the bike or chain. Hope they improve the next version to have zippers maybe or a bit more room.
Very comfortable and durable!
Nice pants but way too tight around the ankles. I saw the other reviews and figured my ankles were pretty small so it shouldn't be an issue but it still was.
Material and craftsmanship are exceptional. I have trouble getting the tapered ankle over my feet. Ridiculously difficult to slip on and off.
A little snug to put on over the ankle, but that helps keep the mud out. Great styling and comfort. Absolutely would buy another pair, but these look designed to last!
it runs a bit small
I love these pants, I need several more pairs. The cuffs at the ankle aren't a big deal at all, they go on easily enough and feel so good. I will get more of these as soon as I can.
Excellent pants. As many noted the ankle is a little tight to get on
Hate to leave a negative review but wow, the foot openings were so small I could not even get one foot (size 10.5) through the hole. I’ve never seen such poorly designed pants.
Great Fit… hope the make other colors
Small rips in the seams at the ankles after wearing these 2 times, thanks to the insanely narrow ankle opening. Other reviews mention how tight these are at the ankle - they're NOT EXAGGERATING. The seams are tearing from stretching over my heel. I can't put these on if I'm wearing socks, literally can't get them over my heel. Sockless I can gradually work them on. They're very nice apart from that. I have a pair of the Demo pants as well, these trail pants are lighter, which is nice. I just wish I could put them on without damaging them.
Love most of my Specialized gear, but these are not good. Strange cut. Tight through the calf. Difficult to get over your ankles when you're putting them on (and even harder when you're taking them off). The Demo Pro Pants are much better. Wish they came in more colors than black.
Fit great and nice amount of warmth for SoCal winter night riding.
If you can get them on over your feet they fit nice. As others have mentioned the ankle cuffs don't fit over bigger feet without ripping threads. Also concerned how well the plastic buckle will hold up.
Overall - these pants are 7/10. They fit slightly big around the waist and yes, the ankle cuff is super tight. If you have big feet or large cankles then I recommend going with something else. However, I like how they have just enough room in the knees and butt area for my bulky downhill pads. Im 5'10" 172lbs 32 waist
Just the best pants, I get a size up for a more baggy fit.
Only consider buying the size per the chart if you also take into consideration that you will only fit though the pants if you have very small feet. I am 5' 10" and got a size 32, I wear 10 1/2 in shoes, and the only way I will get these pants on if I cut the legs at the bottom.
I wear a size 10 shoe, and am a pretty light build at 5'10 and 150lbs, and size 32s would not go over my ankles without stitching popping and feeling like I was going to rip the fabric. Once on, they are baggy at the waist. At the clearance price, I may deal with it, but what a disappointing design flaw.
I almost passed on these due to concerns about tightness at the ankles per some of the reviews. Glad I bought them! For me, getting them on and off is no problem - similar to road tights without a zippered ankle. For reference I bought the large size, wear size 12 shoes and I measure about 11 inches at my ankle.
Solid fit, great for everyday trail riding. Works for road rides as well!
The ankles on the pants were so tight that they wouldn’t fit over my heel. The pants were unwearable. If they had fit, they would have been great, but alas.
I purchased a pair of the Specialized Trail Pants this summer in anticipation of the New England fall mountain biking season. They fit me pretty good and are very light with no protection or chamois. The tapered legs are nice as well as the buckle. These are somewhat stretchy and block a good amount of wind and rain, but are not waterproof. Style is simple and clean with only a couple small pockets. Overall a great feel, fit and function.
The pants are rad but sadly I had to return. They are a bit too tight around the ankles and ultimately way too tight around my calves.
Fantastic mtb pants. I fi had one critique it would be that the ankles are really tight and kinda hard to get off .
5’11” 175lbs wearing a 32. These pants have a perfect fit through the waist and thighs and calves. I never catch them on my saddle. The material easily slides over pads and is comfortable in hot (75+) weather. The ratchet closure is my favorite style and doesn’t interfere when wearing a hip pack. The material is tough but breathes and stretches surprisingly well. As others have mentioned the elastic ankle cuff is WAY too tight for taking on and off. I have boney ankles and wear a US9.5 shoe. Once on, the cuff is fine. But I’ve already heard stitching popping when carefully pulling on and off. I’ve even tried allowing the pant leg to roll inside out when taking off. Still no solution. Hopefully this can be fixed in a newer version.
Fits perfect and is really breathable.
Great product ,well made . Super fast delivery.
I usually wear a size 6ish pant and I got the size 30. Even for a men's cut these fit great on my lady hips. Really great pants. Haven't crashed in em yet but they feel like they will stand up to anything.
Nice fitting, Tri to size, great on cold morning rides or for just lounging around. Very cool with all of the vent holes
Great feel and fit while riding. Just need to take a bit more time putting them on and taking them off as they are tight around the ankles
Like other reviews - seem a descent pair of lightweight trousers but you’d better not have spent your energy on the bike ‘cos your going to need some to get the trousers off over your ankles!
Too tight on the shins and ankle, had to return. Otherwise we’re nice pants
Great and very comfortable to ride in , but a bit tight getting them on/ off over the ankles/heels of your feet.
On paper, these pants look absolutely killer. The material looks good. The cut looks good. The waist buckle looks good. Unfortunately, the sizing of the ankle is bonkers, and I couldn't get them past mid-foot. When compared to the Demo Pant in the same size, the circumference of the ankle on the Trail Pant is over 2 inches less. I would 100% have rocked them otherwise.
Just received these pants and have a couple of rides in. Overall the fit is great and they are fantastic on the trail. They stretch enough so they dont interfere with riding and kept me just the right amount of warm. The only downside is the ankle opening is extremely small. It is difficult to get my foot in and out of the pants.
I am 5" 9', weight 188 Lbs. Its simplicity makes it practical and functional. Fits snug but comfortable and the fabric is breathable.
I’m a 5’6, 120 lbs woman, normally wear a 25 in pants. The 26 fit perfect in the waist, however the ankles and calf were extremely tight, and I have fairly thin legs. They weren’t comfortable and I didn’t think I would be able to fit my knee pads under. I opted to get the 28. They’re the tiniest bit big in the waist, but fit fine with the ratchet all the way tight. The calfs are still almost skin tight but are super comfortable and I am able to fit my knee pads under! These pants are flattering and comfortable. I would highly recommend these pants to anyone with a slimmer build.
Great pair of pants. The fit is nice for me even with having thicker than average features, which I was worried about. The material does feel nice and I like how it breathes, but the Texas summers will truly let me know about that soon. 4 stars because the cuffs at the ankles are very tight when taking on and off. I'm afraid they'll tear sooner rather than later but once they're on the ankle it's not too tight.
Pretty sweet! Lil tight getting the ankle guff over my foot but one on i didnt notice that i had pants on during the ride. Cool breathed well with typical Speci quality. Knee had enough room for my Shred Knee pads. All in all very stoked on these pants for riding. 5'9"" 180lbs 34 waist.
