Gearhead Outfitters (GHO) was founded by Ted Herget in 1997 in a friend's living room in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Starting small, GHO quickly expanded and, after five years, relocated to Main Street in 2003, helping to revitalize the downtown area. Their dedication to quality and customer service has driven their growth into states like Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. In 2019, they acquired Rock/Creek and Uncle Dan’s, followed by Summit Canyon Mountaineering in 2024. Today, Gearhead remains family-owned by Ted and Amanda Herget, staying true to their passion for the outdoors and their communities. GHO has 3 bike shop locations (Bentonville, AR / Jonesboro, AR / Chattanooga, TN). Our mission is to help our customers live active, fulfilling lives by providing quality outdoor-inspired products, backed by deep expertise and remarkable service.
