Still Going Strong

Bought these tires in December of 2023 and early on I had a blowout from the sidewall due to hitting a major pothole. Was able to replace the tire and so far I have put a little over 2,500 miles and they are still going strong. I cycle from the iner city riddled with potholes and debri to the backroads made of asphalt and so far so good. Impressive grip cornering and on the few occassions it has handled the rain well. I am cycling tubeless on Hunt wheels.

Thousands of Miles & Still Going Strong

Love these tires so much! I've had them on my road bike for ages and have ridden them on tarmac, light gravel, and even some singletrack (why not?) and they're still in surprisingly good condition. I trust these tires and feel safe running them in the slickest of conditions.

Leaky sidewalls

It's been now over two weeks since I put them on. Loosing air overnight. Tried adding more sealant, shaking, ridding etc.I had two different brand of tubeless tires installed previously. No issues. Air keeps leaking through the sidewalls.

32c used on pavement only

Been running 42c sawtooth on my diverge, up from 38c pathfinder (difference in effort between 38 and 42, minimal to unnoticeable, confidence on loose surfaces, 42c slightly better as recommended pressure is 5-8 psi less), thought i'd try 32c. I don't have $600 dollar power meters, but running a familiar course I've ridden 50 times, I'm saying the reduced effort or speed gain from effort over the 42's might have been 5% on a 3 hour ride. it did have a "sportier"(whatever that is) feel, but hitting rocks in corners going downhill on pavement, it would defiantly step out more than the 42's. And the 42's running 44 psi tubeless, vs 58 psi tubeless on the 32's, are more compliant and comfortable at little expense to speed and effort.

Do not buy these

It's hard to overstate how much frustration trying to mount and remove these tires has led to. The bead is so insanely tight its virtually impossible to get them on. Then, once you finally get them set up they constantly get punctures that the sealant can't plug so you end up having to put tubes in them. Which is also virtually impossible to do without ripping the tube in the process of getting the insanely tight bead onto the rim. These tires ride fine but are not worth the immense pain to maintain them.

So far so good!

Only took it out for a couple of rides, but was impressed with how fast, grippy & comfortable it is, both on paved roads & light gravel. It was somewhat hard to pull it on a rim, but two levers & soapy water helped. Set it up tubeless very easy. Let’s see how it holds up!

On my third set

I am a commuter, and weekend road and crushed gravel rider putting on around 3,500 miles/5,600 kilometers a year. These tires have yet to fail me. Haven’t had a flat running tubeless while riding in over three years. Will be ordering my fourth set as soon as I see the gumwall version is available again. They wear ok for a 210 lb/95 kg rider plus all my work stuff in the panniers. Handle great on wet cold pavement or in the summer rain. Would not recommend on snow or ice. Ride is a bit stiff when the temperature drops below 40 F/4 C.

Asphalt / gravel mixed tyre - the best one

Battle tested for over 10,000km now in all sorts of conditions. Running with tubes at around 80psi - this tyre has low rolling resistance on the road. It's lightweight enough for the Pyrenean cols, it's tough enough for chunky Catalunya gravel, it's puncture resistant enough to get over the British Autumnal hedge cutting, it sits wonderfully on wide rims giving a very cushy but confidence inspiring ride - if I had to choose one tyre - this would be it. If I had to pick on anything - it's tough to get on and off the rims... but that means it sits perfectly when pumped, with a pleasing pop as it seats itself ready to roll. A* Specialized - just please get some more back in stock!

Fantastic tires, runs wider than advertised

First off, love these tires. They set up on my Hunt / Aerodynamicist carbon wheels with minimal wrestling to get them on the rim, and with just a simple hand pump was able to set the bead and I was quickly in business. Disclaimer, the ID on this wheelset is 20mm, these tires measure 33.5mm once installed at a pressure of 60psi. They clear my frame with little room to spare (advertised max of 34mm). That said, they spin up just fine. No noticeable difference in ride quality versus my previously installed 28mm Turbo Pros. They are confidence inspiring in all conditions I've tested them in (road, unsealed surace, some dirt and light gravel).

Great Tires

I have ridden them for over 3000 miles on the nasty streets of LA. Mostly road, with some dirt. Only had one snag with them on glass, but the hole ended up sealing after some squishing, spinning and praying for the tire. Always carry plugs and a tube just in case folks! Coming from 38mm slicks, these tires feel super light and snappy. Considering the price point and performance, a real goldilocks tire. I ran them with Orange sealant at about 45-50 psi. 210 lbs rider.

Great on and off road

I've probably logged about 2000 or so miles mostly on mixed terrain and have been happy with overall performance. The tire seems supple enough to not feel slow on the road yet durable enough to handle going off road. I love having these in 32s on my road bike, makes me feel like I can go ride about anywhere but pretty gnarly trails. Surprisingly grippy in soft silty dirt and sand. Probably not great for mud but that is out of the realm of what I'd expect or use a tire like this.

Tubeless mounting made easy, FINALLY!

This review will be really short since I"ve only ridden 21 miles on them, but so far so good. They feel smooth, feel as fast at the Turbo Pros that came on my Roubaix, but I'll have a better idea after another 500 miles. But the real treat is how easy they are to mount. I used levers because, why not, and I had them on in under 5 minutes each. Learn how to do this correctly and there won't be a problem. Amazing thing was that I was able to seat the beads with just a floor pump, nothing fancy. They've held their air pressure since I mounted them and I look forward to many more miles on these. Oh, and the tan sidewalls look killer!

Like everything about this tire but how it holds air

I love how these tires ride and navigate a variety of surfaces. I have experience with other tubeless tires so the one thing that I don't like so much about these is that with the first set I bought it seemed nearly impossible to get them to hold air for more than a couple days (even after adding more sealant, running the sealant around the bead, riding many miles, etc). I bought another set recently and they seem to seal much more easily. Current score is 5 for the most recent purchase but would be 4 for the original set of tires.

One puncture in 8000km and that was a massive chunk of glass

I commute 28/30 days a month on these tyres. They are the simply the best all-round tyre in 32c. Cheap, relatively lightweight for the puncture protection they afford and are very grippy. This is a winning formula. Nothing comes close. They are long long lasting. Chuffed to bits. They coped with four storms over here in the UK last year and another one last week. They plough through everthing. Last week i was twitching over ice. Not a problem.

Love/hate relationship

I use these on my CruX outside of CX season. I love the feel and that I can ride gravel/(smooth) trail/road on a single tire. I'm on my 2nd rear tire (warranty replacement) as these tires don't hold air well - at not consistantly (front tire has been fine). The 2nd rear holds air a little better than the first (loses ~8-10 PSI overnight). Still not ideal.

Perfect all-rounders

I used these tires on a ride from Portland to SF after my WTB tires had nasty sidewall leak and they held up great. Had a few punctures that sealed with minimal loss of air and have been running them after still without a single flat. Just wish they made these in 700x 28!

Tires fit for almost anything

As a proud member of Team Clydesdale I can absolutely recommend these tires. Have them on a pair of Boyd Altamont disc rims and they plump up to a nice 34mm or so at 55-60 psi. I have ridden them on local well manicured gravel roads, chunky gravel roads, regular old paved roads, and the occasional mtb trail. With a little change in pressure these things are golden on almost all surfaces. Still cannot believe the price on these.

Not holding air well

I opted to try something different than my continentals. Have had issues with flats recently with continental 5000 series and decided to give specialized a chance. The tires are great, great tack, great puncture protection, but I'm running the 2bliss tires tubeless, and I'm honestly not getting the air to stay in the tires for longer than 24 hours. Air them up to 70 or higher, 24 hours pass and they are at 20. This never happened with my Conti tires. Just kinda disappointed.

Amazing tyres

These are amazing tyres. I'm using these on my Giant TCX Advanced Pro 0 with Slr1 carbon wheels as my all road bike. I have ridden on mixed surfaces, from asphalt, tarmac and gravel. They inspire you to push your bike to the limit on any road. They seem a bit heavy but you don't notice it actually. Never had any punctures over 2000km of riding and I haven't even topped up sealant recently. Give them a try and you will be amazed.

Keep coming back for them

I love these tires for everything except technical or really rocky single-track, that's confidence-inspiring they are. Super ""sticky"" and predictable around corners, especially on the big, fast descents we have in California. Flat-resistant and burly enough for happy gravel and dirt-road riding in the 32 size. Long-lasting enough you can commute 100 miles a week on them and they'll still last forever. All this and they are among my faster and sporty-feeling for group rides... the one con is their is a tiny weight penalty for all the reliability. In summation, for everything besides racing or when you absolutely need knobs, these are gold. I've gone off and tried all sorts of other tires and keep coming back to these.

Performance, Value, Versatility, and Durability

It's almost hard to believe how much tire Specialized is delivering at a ridiculously low price. I have ridden a pair of the 'tan walls' for an estimated 4,000 miles on mixed surfaces in Southern AZ. The rear is pretty square and the side walls have several rub marks, but never touched other than adding sealant periodically. They measure 35mm overall on my Control SL (MY2015) wheelset. I run 51/55 FR/RR and weight 180ish. They are skittish on loose over hard pack when cornering on single track, but on the road they fly down the hills and inspire confidence with little perceived loss in speed. Give them a try on your drop bar multipurpose ride soon!

This is the one.

I switched over to these from the Sawtooth tires looking for something slightly lighter with lower rolling resistance for the road but still decent in the dirt. I expected there to be very little grip in the dirt but I was wrong, they actually hook up pretty well both in the corners and spinning up the steep stuff. Road performance is equally impressive - good feedback in the corners, low RR. Tubeless Performance is excellent. I descended some really fast, steep, rocky roads this weekend - no apparent good line - fully expecting a blow out or a full bike explosion. But all good! No cuts, no leaks or deformation. Found my tire for BWR. Mounted on c38s. Diverge chassis.

These are really only 120 TPI?

Nearly indestructible! Mounted these in a tubeless configuration on my spare wheels after running two sets with tubes over the last 4 years on my 2015 Diverge. These are the perfect tire for fast rides on hard pack and pavement (smooth, cobbles, patched, chipseal, barely paved...). They feel far more supple than the 120 TPI spec, and the grip is incredible on dry or wet. The only time, and it won't decrease the rating, that the grip is a little funny is on a surface with a bit of wet dirt/mud...but then these aren't for that situation anyhow. They wear long, much longer than expected, and feel no slower than the 28s on my road bike.

Great tire, watch clearance on Roubaix bike

Fantastic tire, but I'm surprised the clearance is so incredibly close on the Roubaix bike. You'd think with supposed clearance for 700x32 tires and sharing the same product name they'd be more compatible. That said, they perform fantastic on the bike and add confidence in slippery conditions just as intended. May just have to move them to another bike.

Great Tire for Belgian Waffle/Wafer Ride

Just rode this tire at the grueling Belgian Waffle Ride - BWR. I rode the Wafer - 71 miles 5800 ft - pavement, dirt, rocks, sand, water crossings, stuff. THIS TIRE WAS AWESOME!!!!!!! So fast on the pavement, plenty wide enough for all the conditions, nice comfortable ride, grip in the sand, dirt, rocks. I rode this tubeless - had no cuts or issues. Also, great price on these tires. I highly recommend this tire for anyone thinking of doing the BWR or any other such event with more road than gravel. Going with the Pathfinder at the Lost and Found Gravel Grinder as that one has more gravel than road.

Super nice riding, durable tire

I'm sure I'm not unique in that when 'cross season ends, the knobbies come off and smooth tread tires/bottle cages go on; turning the cx rig into the ""winter rig."" I love the 30/32c width on a 'cross bike because it's still nice on the roads, but wide enough to tackle some light gravel and such should I so desire. As for durability, I actually picked up a 3 or 4mm long piece of glass on my commute home last night and it didn't penetrate the tire. Mind you, this is the 2nd or 3rd winter season on these. The transparent sidewall looks pretty sweet too!
