Chain constantly comes off

When riding any form of rough terrain the the chain comes off the front chain ring. It causes a lot of frustration for my son. The adjustable chain guide doesn't help either. Also after researching this problem, I've found multiple people with the same issue. I'd expect better from specialized.

My girls love their bikes!

We purchased these bikes (24"" & 20"") for my my 7 & 5 year old daughters for Christmas of 2017. They love their rides. They even took them out for test rides in the 3"" of fresh snow on the roads (lots of tumbles). My 5, now 7yo is riding up and down trails with me and absolutely in love with riding. The only issue, she has expressed difficulty shifting quickly when needed and still keeping a good grip on the bars. Overall, these have been great bikes for them!

Awesome kids bike!

My 6 year old loves this bike! He got the blue and orange frame which looks great. The fatter tires inspire a lot of confidence and the extra stability helps him keep up with his older bro in the dirt. The 1x system is perfect for teaching him the basics of shifting. Another reviewer mentioned shifting issues, but we have not had any. I plan on getting him the 24"" model when he out grows this one. Highly recommended.

Takes abuse from my 5 year old, but one flaw😭

Overall amazing bike for the money. Larger tire help immensely for my little guy to gain added traction and forgivness. As he improves the disk brakes are essential, and easily upgradeable. A bit heavy but for the price an outstanding deal. Major disappointment is he has no way of mounting a water bottle. His last 20in from Specialized came with 2?? He rode 12 miles at Whistler singketrack and wanted his own bottle like dad. What happened guys? Still happy with the bike
