Pitch Sport

2020 Pitch Sport

That spot where the bike path turns from concrete to dirt? The Pitch Sport is made to explore beyond, with a sturdy aluminum frame, smooth-riding front suspension, grippy tires for loose surfaces, and sure-stopping hydraulic disc brakes to keep you under control.

STRONG, SENSITIVE TYPE

Old-school strongmen have nothing on our A1 Premium Aluminum frame. But the Pitch Sport is in touch with its feelings too, offering a ride that's as comfortable as it is durable, thanks to a lightweight proprietary alloy and Sport Trail 27.5 Geometry for sure handling.

SIZE-SPECIFIC SUSPENSION

It's not enough to offer quality suspension like the coil-sprung SR SunTour XCT 30 fork on the Pitch Sport. We also custom-design travel based on frame size to keep the geometry and ride quality consistent over all sizes. Lockout limits annoying bobbing on smooth terrain.

SWEET SPOT WHEELS

Why 27.5-inch wheels exactly, not 27 or 28? It's a happy medium which offers most of the benefits of the older 26-inch size, like light weight and agility, with those of the newer, oversize 29er version, like fast-rolling efficiency and easy roll over obstacles.

The 16-speed Shimano drivetrain gives you the right gear, anytime.

A long-lasting, rust-resistant KMC chain offers quiet, sure shifting.

Grippy Ground Control Sport tires feature Flak Jacket flat protection.

Pretty good bike.

This is a fun bike to ride. I have had a lot of experience riding it on dirt and through city streets and I have to say that you get a lot from this bike. On the road and on some smooth single track this thing handles it great, but the problem is when you get to more demanding trails. When riding drops, jumps, or bumpy terrain the bike has some problems. The chain slaps around like crazy and the chain sometimes even falls off. Also, the suspension is not enough for that kind of shredding. Something that really shined with this bike is the brakes, which have handled everything I've thrown at them. The tires are pretty good but dont provide tons of traction when riding damp or slick trails. Overall this bike is great if you want something that can get you into mountain biking while keeping its agility on the road. I have had some great experiences with this bike and I'm sure I'll have many more.

Solid bike that gets the job done.

I absolutely love this bike. It is a great value for the price and it rides great. The breaking on this bike is really good and I have never had any problems with it. The tires on this bike are great and work well on dirt, gravel, and pavement. The shifting on this bike is really good. The fork is nice but isn't the greatest, I really wish it had more than only 100mm of travel. The pedals also aren't the greatest if you plan of riding any trails. I would recommend getting better pedals if you plan on taking this bike off road. this bike is really great if you are looking for a good bike that you can use on both trails and just biking around town. When I took this bike on my local trails I had a good experience. the bike handled really well on the less technical trails and on the climbs, it even performed well on some steeper sections. I was able to hit some small jumps and drops with it and it was really fun but the chain does make allot of noise on the bumpier trails. Overall this is a great bike for anyone who wants to get into mountain biking and have a good time.
