—Matt Beers is one of the most versatile and powerful riders in the off-road world. Whether it's the brutal rocks of South Africa or the endless gravel of the American Midwest, Matt brings precision, strength, and race-winning ambition to every start line.
Born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa, Matt got his start in motocross before switching to mountain biking in his early 20s. With a natural engine and technical finesse, he quickly rose through the ranks, eventually becoming one of South Africa’s top elite MTB racers and a multiple-time national champion.
While MTB is in his DNA, Matt's move into gravel racing has turned heads around the world. In 2024, he finished 2nd overall in the the Life Time Grand Prix in his second season, after crashing out breaking his collarbone, and ribs at the last round in his debut season in 2023. Proving that his power and skills translate seamlessly across disciplines.
Based between South Africa and the U.S., Matt is known for his calm intensity, smart tactics, and dedication to pushing the limits of what off-road racing can be.
