Replaced my car. Awesome bike

Such a fun bike to use for commuting and my daily errands. it is big, so it takes up storage space, but that just means I can carry more when I need to.

Great Bike, with important engineering flaws

Bike is great. Bought to ride with 2 kids, it's a one of a kind. Great ride, amazing to go around with them, best electric bike I have ever ride. There is nothing like it in terms of size vs agility. I would definitely to anyone. Important flaws: - my bike has a battery problem since its first use (B E302 error). Apparently, it has been running around for dozens of bikes. At Reddit "Specialized's Globe category leader here -- we've determined that too much dielectric grease was placed on a key battery connection in our controller (...) our first few shipments of bikes were affected". So it seems to be something known by Specialized, but there is not a single word about it on its troubleshooting - to install the running boards, it is advised: “The front mounting bolt can be difficult to insert because of the fender location.”. It is not difficult; it is simple close to impossible. - to install the cargo rail, the t-nuts are terrible. Bad fit, won’t move properly after installation.

I can’t believe I have an Ebike

But I love it! I hated these things and have a 2 year old with a diverge and burley trailer we ride 90% of the time and leave the car at home. I saw a haul ST at the bike shop and my sales guy said “I have one and it’s my favorite bike and I own 27” that caught my attention. I see a Haul LT a week later was in stock and rode it and instantly was giggling like I just learned to ride without the training wheels! I was hooked! Have 4 panniers, kid seat, adult seat, front pizza rack and it is how I grocery shop in metro Detroit! Can’t wait for School drop offs and skip the parent line up! This thing is awesome-it rides like a BMX bike with a huge wheel base. The center of gravity is super low even with gear. Brakes are insanely good and you’ll need them coming from a 27mph to zero. Easy to adjust seat for my wife, super comfortable. Kickstand is stable but it’s a chore to do with a kid in the seat, groceries etc.

A dangerous problem

I have 2 weeks with the globe LT, and I have been problems with the Running Boards. On many times my foot has been catched between the pedal and the boards and that is really hurt. Fortunately for me it has been hapen in a slow speed, but I'm worried if that hapend in a stopping emergency with more speed.

Flak Jacket tires?

I currently own both the LT and ST Globe Haul models. The LT is much better for hauling my granddaughter around with tons of stuff. It's comfy, powerful and handles well. The E drive train is very smooth. The ST is similar but the E drive train is not nearly as smooth. The only problem so far (both bikes have a bit over 100 miles on them) are the tires. The ST has had TWO flats on the rear and the LT one rear flat. So far I have only replaced one on the ST...and there was NO "entry" wound on the tire...and the tube had the most minute pin-hole. I'm pulling the other two tires tomorrow (it was over $100 for the dealer to fix the first one!). Supposedly the tires have "flak jacket" protection to help safeguard against flats. So far it has not worked for me. I also own a Sirrus and a Turbo Vado SL. I have ridden those models for thousands of miles with NO flats! I don't get it.If I could keep the bikes on the road they would be 5 star models.
