When you really stop and think about it, mountain biking is kind of like cycling in its most primitive form. You're out in nature, where paved roads are a forgotten memory, so why go and muddy it all up with a bunch of stuff you don't need for a fun, relaxing ride? We hear you loud and clear, although we can't help ourselves but to over deliver in order to make sure that you have the best possible ride. And with durable, performance-driven components, reliable V-brakes, a bump absorbing suspension fork, and Sport Trail 650b Geometry that's sure to leave you feeling confident and inspired, the Hardrock V 650b is more than enough bike to get you out there riding dirty.
  • The frame is constructed from A1 Premium Aluminum in order to provide a lightweight, durable platform to support our acclaimed Sport Trail 650b Geometry. Combined, you get a bike that's efficient on climbs and eager on descents.
  • SR Suntour 650b fork features a coil spring that delivers 75mm of trail absorbing travel.
  • A Shimano Tourney seven-speed rear derailleur gives you plenty of gear range to make climbing hills a breeze.

Would recommend for starters

This bike is best for beginners, and can handle most things. I would replace the stem, handlebars, and pedals. The bike works ok after 4 years. The gears don't shift as well as they did and the back break pads are worn out, but this is after extensive use without much maintenance. Highly recommend

Ditto

Everything that other review says, is true. Especially the part about wanting another gear because I trust the thing THAT MUCH. Pound for pound, best jack-of-all-trades I've had in a long time.

Amazing

Had this bike for a year and a half before it was stolen from me. Not saying I would buy this bike again, but I am buying this bike again if the shop has it in stock. Rides amazing and smooth, never felt gears that shifted so nicely. Great bike overall

I would buy this bike again

I ride this bike to school everyday and use it commute everywhere. I live in NYC so it is great for the messed up roads as Well as getting through traffic. Also it is pretty dam fast for a mountain bike. The proportions are great and give you a relaxed upright stance. The handling is fantastic and the gear ratios are pretty sweet. Alot of torque in the lower gears . It's perfect for a climb on a up hill or even if you do a lot of stop and go just drop the gear and blast off again. I do wish that there was an 8th gear because on downhills I tend to find my self needing more resistance. But besides that hats off to this bike got me through 3 years of hardcore commuting through rain and snow all I did was replace some rims ,tubes ,tires ,pads, and axels from time to time. I honestly love this bike but I want to explore other bikes and see if maybe I can find another great bike like this or maybe even a better one . But in conclusion I would totally recommend this baby. The hard rock 650b in my opinion is better than the other hard rock with disk brakes because in the long run maintain brakes pads are cheaper than disk brakes. Also the disk brakes are kinda dangerous they can lock up on you and have your bike fishtailing . Anyway yes yea and yea . Would recommend. But I wanna try something new used this bike for 3 years still have it just wondering if I should replace the cassette
