SO FUN!

This bike is so much fun to ride. I've been taking this bike off jumps, tech, and single track and performs so amazing. This bike is one of my best purchases I've ever made

FUSE

I liked the bike pretty good but if I am being honest the frame is way too stiff. Fun bike to ride but it makes you tired quick because of the stiffness feedback. If they gave this bike an update and a better fork at the $2000 price range (like all the other trail hardtails are at this price) and could change the ride quality to give it more compliance I would change my score to a 5 because the bike is fun. You have to be honest as a consumer or you will never get the bike you want.

Great first MTB

I joined a bunch of friends to learn single track so bought this bike to upgrade my $50 garage sale bike that I was destroying and I'm so happy with my Comp29. The rest of my gang rides soft tails and I have no trouble keeping up with them and don't see needing an upgrade anytime soon. My only complaint is the dropper post isn't the best and seizes up in cold weather and is probably the only thing I'd change out.

Amazing Quality

I love this bike and I cherish it, it's screams high quality, I've even been upgrading parts and I think it has turned into one of the best hardtails I've seen,I've had this for nearly 8 months now and it's still works like a charm. I would highly recommend

Amazing

I had a fully upgraded trek marlin that needed a new tube. I went to my local bike shop to get one and saw this specialized fuse. The sale price was unbelievable and after a test ride I just had to have it. Absolutely perfect for me personally. Obviously much better than any marlin, even upgraded. Would highly recommend to get a fuse when it’s on sale.

Bad spec for the price

Looking to replace my wife's 2006 Stumpjumper, I bought a Comp Fuse last year from Erick's Bike Shop in a size small for $2299. The specs still look the same as this year, but the price is $3k. Pro's: - Decent frame, seem's relatively light and has some compliance - sticker says made in Taiwan. - The dropper functions like a dropper. - The Recon functions like a bottom shelf fork without being terrible. - Stock wheels seem ok. Con's: - The Recon is heavy - it weighs more than a Fox 36. I recently replaced with a Fox 34 and it was a significant upgrade and savings in weight. And the Recon steerer tube is cut too short by 3/4 to 1 inch. - The dropper is way short at 100mm. - NX instead of GX Cassette - easy way to save weight. - It would've been great to have brake levers with more adjustable like the G2. I've spent $1600 in upgrades to make the bike lighter and more comfortable to ride. Should've probably looked elsewhere, but my wife really like the olive green...

Bad brake cable routing

A rock kicked up and broke the housing on the rear brake. This is a serious design flaw that could have turned out much worse.

Capable All-rounder, especially after some modifications.

Excellent overall trail bike for 90% of trail networks out there. Completely fine on green through dark blue trails, and fine on selective black trails depending on how steep it gets. I've ridden mine in multiple locations across the country so far, and I'm also ways surprised at how well it handles new challenges. I've basically changed out all of the stock components, and changed the geo around a lot to suit my needs, but it's a great bike to start out with and that's worth upgrading along the way as you see fit.

Amazing all round mtb!

My dad got me this bike, and as soon as I saw it, I knew that this was perfect! This bike has perfect geometry for every kind of trail riding! I have beat this bike to the ground with jumps and some of the biggest drops, and this bike has had no problems. I just finished a race with it and it performed perfectly! The derliar is perfect shifting and the brakes really are powerful. The fork is perfect, and this frame really feels like it is carbon fiber! Overall, amazing bike, wound reccomend for experts for beginners!

So far my Fuse has

So far my Fuse has been great. Ordered direct and it was almost perfect out of the box. Only had to adjust derailed a bit. Have put on 100 miles or so and have ridden some good trails, with some smaller jumps. Bike is solid and it is geared great. Eventually will swap out bars etc

Great bike

Ready to go out of the box, if you know how to bleed brakes. The gears were almost perfect but had to adjust slightly after removing the very unsightly and pretty much impossible to seat properly spoke protector. Just those two little things. The fork is easily tuned with the Trailhead app and the dropper post was perfect out of the box.

Awesome ride, Easy Online Ordering

Great bike. Wheelies well. Out of the box, everything works great. Only issue for me is the dropper post cable and housing is cut too short and I’ll have to replace that with a longer one. Exactly what I wanted in a bike though.

Awesome hardtail!!

This is the best hardtail I have ever owned! This is my first 29er. It glides over obstacles with ease with the super wide 29.x2.6 tires. Beefy 34.9 dropper, and hydraulic brakes are awesome! SRAM NX cassette and chainring 1x12 is all steel, making it VERY durable! I'm 5'8" and the medium fit me perfectly. I put on some Crankbrothers pedals and this bike is all set. Fuse Comp 29er is an awesome bike!

The fuse is everything I

The fuse is everything I expected and more the gearing is awesome, handles any a hill with ease. The shifting is smooth the brakes are great and the extra large fits me so well, I’m 6 foot tall. I was really considering getting a full suspension bike but they weren’t available and it was quite a bit more money so I settled on this one, and I’m very pleased in fact I think because I’m not going to be doing hotdogging on mountain trails I don’t really need a full suspension bike and this one fits my needs just perfectly!

After 3 months of comparing bikes I landed on this

I am completely in love with my Fuse. It was perfectly tuned out of the box and I did not need to adjust a thing; although I do recommend downloading the rockshox app to perfectly tune in the fork in regards to your personal weight. My old bike was a bikesdirect, so this change was MUCH amazing lol. During the first 30 seconds on the bike, I actually held a manual for the first time in my life. The fuse also surprised me on how smooth a hardtail could be on botched hard landings. XD 10/10 I love this bike.

An excellent beefy steed for the serious trail rider

My Fuse Comp 29 (purchased Oct 2021) came with Shimano Deore hardware & the tires are Butcher front/Purgatory rear--I'm perfectly fine with all of these changes! The ride inspires confidence with such wide tires. The massive frame welds (particularly on my large frame's seat tube-top tube reinforcement) were off-putting at first, but the satin smoke finish make them less obvious from a distance. Having a dropper post and an easy reach down to the front fork to adjust travel when necessary have both been far more useful than anticipated. The fork tube is cut short though, preventing spacers to raise the handlebars so it leaves me in a slightly forward leaning position & contemplating cushier grips after a long ride. The sloped top tube (which I really like) only leaves enough room for small water bottles, which also necessitate a Zee Cage II to get them in/out. I made an excellent decision to go with Fuse Comp 29. There wasn't anything that left me feeling like I was missing out on.
