2019 Fatboy Comp Carbon

Every now and again, we're all faced with going on a diet, and the same is true for our Fatboy. With the Fatboy Comp Carbon, we've elevated the fat bike platform to a higher level of performance, strength, and efficiency.

It features a sophisticated carbon construction that's lightweight, ultra-compliant, and stiff in all the right places for the climbs. The layup also allowed us to integrate internal cable routing to keep things clean and simple through nasty conditions.

Sprinkle in SRAM's 12-speed GX Eagle drivetrain, and some near bombproof alloy wheels, and you have a bike that'll give new purpose to winter and more fun to springtime.

Great fat bike, sweet graphics

Fun fact, my first "real" mountain bike back in 1991 was a Specialized Hardrock. This is my second Speesh ... it's a great fat bike, light weight, the geometry is classic (though it could use a bit of the longer, slacker motto as of late, preferably a slacker head angle maybe 68/69 and a steeper seat post) but it works great. The snow trails around Ottawa are quite good with loads of steep stuff ride.

In fact, I have as this is my 2nd Fatboy

I replaced my 2017 aluminum Fatboy with this new carbon version which is an excellent ride - love it! Like my other Fatboy, the brake rotors make a lot of noise which no amount of adjustment can fully & permanently resolve. Solution - pay to replace the stock rotors with Shimano Ice rotors (@ $100 bucks) & the rattling goes away! Future forward, would like to see Specialized use better quality stock rotors as these bikes are not inexpensive. Last word - Fatboys are super fun. Thanks Specialized!

Awesome Bike - No Regrets

I went through the specs on the fattys from the different manufacturers and settled with the Carbon Comp with the great mix of parts. 1800 miles later and I regret nothing. It was tough paying full retail on a bike after working at shops for 10 years, but it was worth every penny. I ride all winter with my Bud/Lou tires and the stock 4.0s in summer. Awesome in the snow, Lake Michigan beaches and ripping around Detroit and Chicago. It's great on my old mountain bike trails and gets through just about everything. Perfect for doing my old tricks and wheelies for days...like busting a wheelie along the length of Addison along Wrigley Field with the people in the houses cheering. 🙈😜😉
