Bike Maintenance Checklist

Checking your tire pressure before every ride is a simple habit that can save you from a ruined day, especially if you’re running tubeless. Incorrect pressure, whether too high or too low, increases your risk of punctures and impacts ride quality.

Keep an eye on tire wear too. Worn tires reduce grip, especially when braking or descending, and are more prone to punctures, replacing tires when worn will improve your ride. For tubeless systems, make sure to top up your sealant every few months. Some sealants dry out faster than others, and if yours does, it won’t seal punctures as intended, which can turn a minor issue into a complete ride-ender.

Few things are more frustrating than going to shift gears and... nothing. That sinking feeling knowing you’re going to have to grind every upcoming climb out, is one every rider wants to avoid. Most electronic shifting systems only need charging every ~60 hours of riding, which makes it easy to forget. A good rule of thumb is to charge it once a month. Setting a monthly reminder on your phone can help prevent the dreaded dead battery moment.
