YEARS RIDING
I raced in triathlons in college, and gave up the bike to focus on running after graduation. I still commuted everywhere on my single speed, but didn’t get back on the road bike until a little over a year ago. Riding with big groups has made me fall in love with the road, I couldn’t go back to solo training all the time. I’m a people person.

FAVORITE RIDE PLACE/ROUTE
My favorite route in my hometown is a group ride called Tucker. It is a huge and really challenging training ride with about 70+ people. I love the ride because it feels like a badge of honor when you finally stick with the group for the whole route. The group is very supportive and encouraging. My favorite riding outside of Atlanta is any route through Belgium. I love the cool weather and farmland.

FAVORITE POST-RIDE FOOD/DRINK
Acai smoothie bowl topped with fruit. It has become a tradition to make smoothie bowls after our night rides. If we are having a post-ride cheat meal, my favorite is the crunchy picadillo tacos at a restaurant in Inman Park Atlanta called Superica (if you visit Atlanta, you must try this restaurant).

BIKE NAME
My Tarmac’s name is Sandra Cruise (named after the epic first ride in Santa Cruz, CA), and I haven’t named my Amira.

DREAM RIDE
Mallorca, Spain. It is the most beautiful place on the planet. There are mountains, beaches, and desolate flat lands. The climbs are intense, but the views are rewarding.

DREAM RACE/EVENT
Racing on the Ronde van Vlaanderen course—the cobbles are exciting and challenging. OR doing a race in Mallorca because it is so beautiful.

WHY DO YOU RIDE?
I have a lot of energy and cycling focuses my mind, gives me confidence, and makes me feel strong. I also love the social aspect of riding in Atlanta. We have huge group rides every night, and the cycling community is very tightknit.
