PRIMARY RIDE STYLE
Most of my miles are on my road bike because it’s the easiest thing to do from my front door, and Los Angeles has some incredible road climbs. But I also often ride gravel, race CX, Touring, XC, and commute. I love it all.

FAVORITE RIDE PLACE/ROUTE
Angeles National Forest, but especially HWY 2 up to Mount Wilson Observatory—that ride has a special spot in my heart. It’s the ride that blows away people’s misconceptions of LA. You can ride to the snow and see the ocean at the same time.

FAVORITE POST-RIDE FOOD/DRINK
It depends on the ride, but I’m usually torn between a Vega protein shake and a rice bowl with roasted veggies and tofu, or a veggie burrito and ice-cold beer!

BIKE NAME
Nope.

CLIMB VS. DESCEND?
I’m better at descending, but I think I love climbing more. There’s a feeling of accomplishment I get from conquering a mountain—I can’t find that anywhere else.

DREAM RIDE
If this isn’t the definition of Pandora’s box, I don’t know what is: Iceland for the summer solstice; Italy to conquer the Dolomites; Colombia to ride Alto de Letras (the longest cycling climb in the world); and Norway for the Trollstigen. I've also been dreaming of touring Carretera Austral through Patagonia.

FULL LYCRA, Y/N?
Almost always.

DREAM RACE/EVENT
I’d love to do L’etape du Tour with friends, or an all women’s team for the WOW Cyclethon on Iceland. My dream events take me to new places where I can accomplish new things.

I LOVE RIDING WITH
I have a great group of women in Los Angeles that I love riding with. I also love meeting and riding with people I have admired and been inspired by via social media over the years.

QUOTE/MOTTO
“Don’t buy upgrades, ride up grades” - Eddy Merckx

WHY DO YOU RIDE?
It takes me to the best places and introduces me to the best people. It shows me what I’m really capable of. It slows me down and speeds me up. It’s meditative, and it brings me a sense of joy [that] I felt as a kid, which is difficult to come by as an adult. I love that I can do it alone or with a community, and that it has the ability to meet me where I am in life at that moment.

SKILL YOU WISH YOU COULD MASTER BUT HAVEN’T (YET)
A solid bunny hop.
