Dear Specialized Rider,
We are voluntary recalling select lower seatposts on Specialized Globe Haul ST and LT e-bikes sold between 2022 and 2024.
REASON FOR THIS RECALL: An extended lower seatpost may break under heavy loads, posing a fall hazard.
AFFECTED PRODUCT: Select lower seatposts on Specialized Globe Haul ST and LT e-bikes.
HOW TO TELL IF YOUR GLOBE HAUL SEATPOST IS AFFECTED: Remove the entire seatpost with saddle installed from the frame and inspect the markings on the lower portion of the post. If the lower seatpost has 13 height indicator markings, it is affected by this recall. If the lower seatpost has 15 height indicator markings, it is not affected by this recall. Please use the images below to determine if your seatpost is affected. You should review your user manual for instructions on how to remove and re-install your seatpost(s).
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE AN AFFECTED SEATPOST: If you confirm that your bike is affected by this recall, or you are not sure, please stop riding and make a service appointment with your nearest Authorized Specialized retailer. They will inspect your bike and fit an updated seatpost at no cost to you.
Your ride matters—to you, and to us.
We know your Globe Haul isn’t just a bike—it’s your primary mode of transportation. Getting you safely back on the road is our top priority, and we’re here to support you every step of the way. As riders ourselves, we understand how disruptive this recall may be, and we’re truly sorry for the inconvenience it’s caused.
Thank you for riding with us—and for trusting Specialized. We’ve got your back.
