Dear Specialized Rider,
At Specialized, our riders always come first. We have identified a potential issue with certain lower seatposts on our Globe Haul ST and LT bicycles. If extended, affected seatposts could break under heavy loads.
If your bike is equipped with an affected post, we ask that you to stop riding your bicycle immediately.
We are working with the U.S. CPSC to obtain the required approvals to provide you with a solution. As riders ourselves, we understand the inconvenience and recognize that many of you rely on your Globe Haul as a mode of transportation. Ensuring you are back on your bike as swiftly as possible is our utmost priority and we will provide an update as soon as we can.
We apologize for the inconvenience and want to thank you for riding Specialized.

How to tell if your Globe Haul seatpost is affected:
Remove the entire seatpost with saddle from the frame and inspect the markings on the lower portion of the post. Please review your user manual for instructions on how to remove and re-install your seatpost.
If the lower seatpost has 15 height indicator markings, it is NOT affected and are ok to keep riding. If you are still unsure whether your bike is affected, stop riding it and visit your nearest Authorized Specialized Retailer, or contact Specialized Rider Care.
