Air Trak Flex Lite T5/T7 TLR XC Tire

After some short rides, these tires have proven to be quick. It's true what another reviewer said about tread depth and overall "traction" as these are pure speed not pure grip tires. Weight out of box came in at 640g exactly (which is why the 4 not 5 stars). Not the advertised weight but a heck of a lot lighter than most XC rubber.

I do like that it's a hybrid of renegade and fast trak tire, which are my go to right now, but the claimed estimated weight is way off for "lightest XC tire in the world". As some other reviews pointed out, they come in at about 645g real world. It's possible that you could get a different weight though. As with all Specialized light tires, they vary tire to tire from my previous experiences. The thread pattern is pretty awesome though, it would be a great substitute if it was the same price as at regular Renegades, which is about half price on sale.

Tires came in at 640g and 642g for 2. 35". Other than the 55g weight discrepancy, the tire is extremely light, whisper quiet, and roles so fast. I've put probably 25 hours on my set with zero pin holes or punctures running 21. 5/23psi at 205lbs. If you ride dry hard trails, this tire is great. The cornering knobs are small and the tire has little traction when breaking; however, when the tire breaks loose, it hooks up extremely quick.
