At Specialized we believe in the power of the bicycle to transform lives, that’s why we are so proud to support Outride. Outride is a public non-profit committed to using cycling to support the cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being of youth, while also breaking down barriers so that all kids have access to bicycles and safe places to ride.
This year, Outride is bringing cycling to nearly 50,000 middle school students, in addition to making over $500,000 in matching grants to 76 community organizations in support of youth development programs and bike parks and beginner trails projects around the US.
Through supporting projects like Bike Club OKC, Outride is building community and changing the lives of kids in Oklahoma. Bike Club teaches bike safety, cycling skills and STEM; along with life lessons such as respect, cooperation, and teamwork, while doubling the amount of time students spend exercising and away from screens.
