Recreational XC Hardtail INTELLIGENT DESIGN A star in our line-up for more than two decades, the Rockhopper® with its ultra-refined M4® alloy frame has evolved into the smart choice for anything from a flowing fire road to a fast singletrack.Inside Tech For 2008, we've made both our legendary Stumpjumper and Rockhopper models in a 29-inch wheeled version, with some important improvements over similar bikes on the market. Our unique geometry allows Specialized 29er mountain bikes to have a lower center of gravity and more stability than others of the breed, making for a nimble, yet stable ride. When combined with our new The CaptainTM tire in a 29-inch version, there's no better 29er to handle a wide range of conditions.
