Supacaz Bling Tape

The name is misleading. It's not oil slick like what most bike people are used to seeing. It's mostly blue, with a teal and purple reflection depending on the light. Blue Chameleon would have been a more accurate name. True oil slick relies on a base chrome layer, then you have the range of pink/purple to blue/green medley, with silver peeking out here and there. This is not that. Outside of the color disappointment, the tape is very good performing with good sticky texture and looking smooth to the touch.

This product is very deceptive. It does not like the pictures at all. I ordered the oil slick/ano one that is supposed to be retro reflecting and it doesn’t work like that at all. Do not recommend if you’re going for that look. Functionally the bar tape is still fine.

This bar tape has exceeded expectations. It was easy to fit, and is extremely comfortable and grippy - even in extremely wet conditions. The improvement to ride comfort is not just noticeable, but significant. Ideal for my commute along some not great road surfaces.

I received the regular oil slick tape as stated in the title, but the photo shown made me think that I was ordering the reflective oil slick Supacaz tape. I really feel this photo needs to be updated as I've now read multiple other reviews that stated the same issue. Specialized, please update your product photo, they are clearly two very different tapes. Thankyou!
