Specialized tires all seem to be good quality and are always easy to set up tubeless.

Chance my ground control control T5 to new Purgatory in front and fast trak grid T7 in back my local bike shop recommendation. I was having a long pause from driving and wanted extra grip that i gain confidence again in trails I was little skeptic to the fast trak but when i manage climb few of my benchmark hills without any problems i was sold! Now i upgrade to carbon wheels (roval control) i put fast trak control T7 in front and T5 in back. 700g each and very good tires overall. I have driving now hard and try trail and very wet rooty and rocky trail and tires manages very well in different tarmac.

Running this on the front and a T5 rear on my hardtail. Went up easily tubeless and hold air well. They roll nicely and are even a bit more knobbly than I thought an XC tyre would be! Delivery and ordering were excellent

Solid set of race tires

The Fast Trak Control was recommended to use on my new single speed bike in June 2022. I have Specialized Butchers on my full suspension bike which would be way too heavy on the ss, so my shop guy recommended the Control T7 for the front tire and it has been awesome! It's an all around workhorse that has tamed the very rocky trails on Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, AL. There are many short and steep rocky/rooty climbs so tires have got to be tough. I haven't had a flat yet and I ask myself after every ride, "what compound is this that has survived these rocks?" We don't have big, smooth boulders, they're bowling ball size and the T7 dominates. And it's great on the hardpack as well but I haven't tested yet on wet trails so that's to be determined. A bonus is the light weight which is critical on my ss. I highly recommend this tire up front with the Specialized Renegade Control T5 on the rear.
