    2021 Epic EVO

Remember when cross country didn't always involve a starting gun? So do we.

And, while it'll never turn down a number plate, Epic EVO is well-acquainted with the fact that the next ridgeline makes a perfectly good finish line too, offering an incredible combination of pedaling efficiency and impressive trail-taming capability to get you there faster.

While the Epic EVO sees a seemingly modest 20-millimeter increase in suspension travel up front over its Epic stablemate and just 10-millimeters out back, we've worked overtime to make sure it's been implemented in a way that'll have you saying 'Whoa!' as soon as you hit your first stretch of singletrack.

Meticulously engineered to retain as much of the Epic's standard-setting efficiency as possible, the EVO's new suspension kinematics work in concert with our Rx XC shock tune to ensure you're able to make the absolute most out of every inch of travel on tap, while still offering increased anti-squat characteristics for improved pedaling efficiency.

With plenty of practice at staying ahead of the curve, the Epic EVO now lays claim to the most capable iteration of our Progressive XC Geometry ever to grace an Epic. It's also more versatile than ever thanks to a new flip chip-equipped rear end that allows riders to adjust headtube angle and bottom bracket height to easily customize the Epic EVO's handling characteristics.

Epic EVO's flyweight FACT 11m carbon frame features heavy-hitting Shimano components and RockShox suspension for a package tailor-made for making miles disappear faster than ever.

    Nice in wide open spaces.

The bike climbs well and descends well in open areas like fire roads. For narrow and twisting tight turns, downhill single track, it is slow to respond and carries off trail. It may be that the larger platform is more stable in a generally straight line, but the larger/longer platform is slow to respond in rapidly changing tight spaces.

    Great all-rounder!

I traded up from a 650B Camber to a EVO 29er. It is sooo much faster! The platform allows you to just hammer down the power. It is lighter and has a far superior suspension. What a great upgrade! Highly recommended.

Newer to MTB riding, second bike and I Love It

I was previously riding the Camber and decided to upgrade to the Epic Evo. I absolutely love everything about this bike. The lighter weight makes it a responsive climber and it handles just great on downhills and everything else. So glad I was able to find one.

All the bike you will ever need.

After owning almost every type of MTB (incl. road + gravel), an XC bike was never originally on my list of bikes to own. I bought an Epic EVO from the bike shop I was working in at the time and haven't turned back. After putting 1700+kms, tens of thousands of meters of climbing and many, many trails I can truly say that this is the all the bike you will ever need. I've since added a few modifications to mine but overall excellent bike to introduce you to cross-country riding.

This bike is a racer and a giant killer

This bike really does do it all. I have raced this bike cross country and it's perfect for New England course that are a bit rougher than most. I would take it over a standard Epic. It's also a very, very good trail bike. It's just rips and feel taunt and responsive. It's also not too long like a lot of other bikes now so it feels lively and fun. I just love this bike so much. I ride it hard in rocky New England terrain and find it no less of a performer than my 130 rear / 140 front Trek.

    Nimble XC Rider!

My previous bike was the 2020 Specialized Epic Evo Comp with rear Brain shock, which was a bit of a loaf & very chattery on the trail........... I wanted something, smoother, lighter, quicker & much more responsive, so I traded my Epic Evo Comp in & got a 2021 Epic....... WoWzzzzzzzeeeeerrrrsss what an amazing bike, everything I hoped for & so much more!!! Definitely an EPIC bike which is so awesome to ride, smooth & responsive on every level & the components are well matched for this truly EPIC bike!!! Well done TEAM SPECIALIZED on this truly EPIC bike!!!

    My favorite bike!

This bike blows away the past Stumpjumper comp I had. It's light, balanced and the components are great. Love this bike, love Specialized!
