If we want to inspire the next generation of riders, kids deserve better bikes. That’s why we took the same tech behind our world championship-winning bikes and combined it with proportional design to build the ultimate balance bike.

We pored over every detail in order to achieve a ride quality that’s unprecedented in such a small size. We’re talking precision at every touchpoint—from 38% smaller diameter handlebar grips to a solid carbon layup. All aligned to create the ultimate first ride.

Why? We believe the best ride starts with the same standards we have as adults: Proportional fit, quality materials, and the same tech we use for pros.

  • All-carbon frame, fork, handlebars, and wheels.
  • Lightweight FACT 9r carbon frame.
  • Carbon wheels with Rhythm Lite tires.
  • 38% smaller diameter grips—a better grip for little hands.
  • Low friction Body Geometry saddle, with a carrying handle for parents.
  • Ground up design in the geometry.
  • How to assemble your Hotwalk Carbon (<a href="https://media.specialized.com/support/collateral/0000152638.pdf" target="_blank">download manual</a>).

Bought at half price. Ridiculous

Bought at half price. Ridiculous build quality. Was it the most practical use of money? nope, but it is awesome. Use a tennis ball to protect the seat most if you kids on the small side( the seat post sticks out the bottom).

Best Purchase We Made.

This bike is amazing. Yes, it is expensive but worth every penny in my opinion. If you are a parent that values outdoor time and experiences with your kid then get this bike. We had several others and honestly they are all just too heavy. If you want to start your kid at 1.5 to two years old on a bike they can manage this is it. This bike is the lightest you can get and because of that our daughter was able to handle it, learn, and excel. We can now go on 2 mile plus walks while she rides because she loves this thing so much and it is light enough for her to handle. Lots of people giving this bike crap because of the cost but those same parents are buying their kids $1000 iPads which encourages them to SIT and get addicted to electronics. We'd buy this bike again and again and wish that specialized would continue to make high end lightweight bikes in the kids division. We would but them all.
