The bulk of the frame is constructed from FACT 9m carbon fiber in order to provide an ultra-lightweight, strong, and stiff frame. The carbon molding process also allowed us to revolutionize how you carry your trail essentials with the all-new SWAT Door found at the down tube. This compartment will fit a tube, a tool, and pump without rattling or compromising the structural integrity of the frame. And when you factor in a build spec that mixes some of SRAM and Shimano's most durable and dependable components, you have one of the most forward thinking bikes that we've ever made. Perfect timing

After trying an S-works version of this bike, I simply had to have something that at least resembled that feeling. The SJ Carbon Comp did just that for me. As time went on and recovered from the investment, I upgraded to 29" Roval Carbon SLs, carbon handlebar and cranks.... The result was insane and till this date (9 years later) it's still a pleasure to ride up, and downhill. In hindsight it was perfect timing as 2016 introduced boost wheels in their SJ's , keeping this bike still relevant 10 years ahead... Well done Specialized!
