I had to buy this replacement after the fragile pins broke off. There is no way to just replace the connector, likely a $10 part... you need to buy the whole charger unit for $200. Bad design, but probably for the sake of profit to Specialized.
This part is original equipment so of course works fine. But the original design, in which one of the three pins which plugs into the bike is extremely thin and thus easily bent, is very poor. It’s too easy to bend the thin pin (as I did) and then you’re out $200.
I used my first charger during 1 summer only (maybe 10 rides). I had to buy a new one because it is no longer charging. I am very disapointing. I do not recommend it.
I have 3 chargers. Two went bad after 4 years. There's no diagnostics that are performed by Specialized in this situation and the charger can not be fixed, Specialized policy. So I'll be buying another one. I would suggest that Specialized look into this charger's reliability, a method of diagnosing any problem, the idea of placing LED's on the outside of the charger for the user to determine its status and a longer warranty.
The only way to charge your bike. It works great on my 2022 S-Works Creo SL. I use it with the Y-cable adapter to parallel charge my range extender as well. No issues at all.
Dang thin pin bent after two months. Ugh. No mistreatment. I think the odd angle of insert means that pins get force on removal.
Ordered online, picked the dealer where is was to be delivered and it showed up 5 days later. It was a very easy process
A PERFECT MATCH FOR MY VADO SL. BEST PRICE OUT THERE. DELIVERY WITHIN A WEEK.
Works and good ship time
Works great
The charger is the perfect replacement/spare for my Turbo Creo. Though the description is confusing. This one for my Turbo Creo is listed as Specialized SL Battery Charger. The one with the description Turbo Battery Charger sounds correct but has a different charging connector.
All great!
I was required to replace my (very expensive - $200) Levo SL battery charger when the internal pins inside the red connector snapped. The pins are quite delicate and so all it can take is the bike falling over one time when the charger is connected for the pins to bend and break. Moreover, $200 for a battery charger, which is required to make the bike go - seems on the hefty side. But you gotta do what you gotta do to make your bike go….
NEVER re-charge the battery while the bike is on the rear rack of the vehicle.... it doesn't take a beating AT ALL..
Quick delivery, works wonderfully
