    2019 Men's Sirrus X Comp Carbon

The Sirrus X Comp Carbon is far from your "normal" fitness bike. It features 700x38mm tires that let you explore the dirt when the time arises, a 1x11 drivetrain for ease of use, and you get rack/fender mounts.

We started with a high quality FACT 9r carbon fiber construction that's lightweight and extremely responsive, not only making the Sirrus a better climber, but also making it easier to carry up the stairs after your commute. Now, onto what we like to think is the best part of the new Sirrus: our Future Shock. Essentially, it's a piston in the head tube with 20mm of travel. We developed this technology in partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies, and the result of this relationship are a host of drastic performance improvements, namely in the vertical compliance department. Without giving a physics lecture, we found that is improves smoothness, speed, and comfort in one fell swoop.

We equipped this bike with a 1x SRAM NX drivetrain to ensure reliable shifting and no dropped chains, plus next-level comfort that follows our scientifically tested and engineered Body Geometry components. So as you push yourself to reach your goals, you'll feel more connected to your bike than ever, leaving you feeling that you have the perfect partner on your path to health and wellbeing.

    Simply yes....

Took this bike 6 miles from the shop home. As someone used to mountain biking in mountains of Oregon and the hilly jungles of Okinawa, Japan, I wanted something that was less punishing on the roads, but not limited to pavement, and I have to say, this bike is quick, responsive, and comfortable. I had to take this on a trail that was 70% loose gravel and 30% pavement and it handled the entire trail smoothly without issue. I took it on a 12 mile ride the following day with a tandem attachment for my son, and I was still able to get this bike up to speed while towing 45 pounds on the same gravel trail. I'm used to an 3x8 experience so shooting over to something with less gears seemed odd to me, but now that I've ridden this beauty down the roads and trails in my neighborhood, I don't think I want to go back to anything else. If you are looking for a good all around bike that wont limit you when you spot the occasional bumpy trail, but don't want the consequence of a spongy asphalt experience, this is the bike for you.

    This is the ""one""

I've owned many hybrid/fitness bikes over the years in search of the perfect all around ride. Finally found it in the Sirrus X Comp. Light weight and agile are it's greatest attributes, but there's so much more. The Future Shock provides ample suspension with almost zero added weight. Great tires, disc brakes and thru axel hubs add to the robust nature of the X. The X is capable of handling almost all your cycling needs other than extreme mountain biking or the Tour De France. If you only want one bike this is the one

    So much better than expected.

I was on the fence about purchasing a bike with a single chain ring, as I live in the mountains. But I looked at the ratios, and realized that it covered just as much as what I was currently riding. This bike will replace an older Allez, as I have reached that point in life where I want a more relaxed ride. Totally impressed with the ride, brakes, and the Future Shock has helped to deliver a smoother ride. Very stable, very comfortable, very happy rider.

    I love this bike!

I was looking for a multi use bike to fit between my Roubaix road bike and Levo mountain bike, and this model is perfect for town rides, gravel and commuting. I was originally just going to go with an aluminum Sirrus, but my long-time dealer said I have to try one of these, and boy - they were right! Very light and nimble with a comfortable ride, great shifting with the NX gear train, nice brakes plus the Future Shock that I already was a fan of. It's so much more than the Sirrus I had 7 years ago. Two really worthwhile upgrades: I installed an CG-R carbon / zertz seat post that improved comfort, and my dealer hooked me up with a set of DT Swiss R470 wheels with 350 hubs that were take-off's from a Roubaix that I put a set of Sawtooth tires on. Wheels weigh less & roll better, and the tire is perfect for this bike. These wheels are the normal mid-range Specialized road bike wheels and you can find them almost new for $150-200 a set easily. Great bike - you won't be dissappointed.

    Great all-around bike

I'm a road racer, and I was looking for an ""about town"" bike for urban riding, trails, commuting and whatnot. I've ridden others in the same class, but this was the easiest transition from a road bike--light, maneuverable, responsive. And the future shock system is really nice on broken pavement. This bike is everything I wanted, and nothing that I didn't.

    Impressive

I demoed several gravel bikes including Santa Cruz, Ibis and Diverge and then bought this one. It's fast and stable like the others, but I chose this for its longer geometry, steering response and MTB style flat bar cockpit, plus the Future Shock damping like the Diverge which is more effective than I expected and has replaceable springs for compression tuning. I did a few needed upgrades (Easton EA70 AX wheels, RT81 rotors, carbon post, grips, lower profile Diverge headset cap) but left everything else stock including the impressive tires. The bike now weighs under 20 lbs in size XL. It surprises me every day with how well it rides, climbs and descends on gravel, dirt and pavement. What a lucky find, couldn't be happier.
