    2019 Men's Rockhopper Comp

Whether you've been riding trails for decades or you're just starting your XC journey, the Rockhopper Comp 29 is here to take your rides to the next level.

It starts with our new A1 Aluminum frame that has optimized tube shapes that save weight while dramatically improving aesthetics. To go along with these clean new lines, the new Rockhopper also has internal cable routing to further clean up the frame. Lastly, our Sport XC 29 geometry adjusts the reach, angles, and standover height to make for an improved fit across the size range. This is sure to keep you ripping and confident while heading both up and down the trail.

This Rockhopper comes with a no-nonsense spec featuring a mixed Shimano drivetrain, dependable Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, grippy Ground Control and Fast Trak tires that add traction over any trail, and an SR Suntour XCM 29 fork with our custom Multi-Circuit damping that eliminates the "pogo" feel commonly associated with coil forks.

    Excellent bike!

Love this bike! The only thing I would upgrade is the fork.

you can beat the heck out of it and it still goes

I use this bike for a lot of things. I have taken it off a six foot drop and it performed flawlessly. the stock forks are OK but this is a budget bike of high quality. some simple upgrades are new pedals and grips. when I get enough money I will probably get new front forks and convert to a one by. there is so much you can do to a bike like this. if you want to see it in action see the ""Winnemucca boys"" on you tube. have a great ride.

    Best Ride for the Buck

Bought this bike back in January as a ""catch-all"" commuter that could handle trails on the weekends. Since then it's held it's own for bikepacking trips across Colorado's front range and even a descent down the Pike's Peak. I would recommend this as an entry level bike that can handle almost anything thrown at it.

    New Bike Commuter

Using this bike for winter and summer commuting in Anchorage Alaska through snow, ice, and gravel. Works well so far. Initially there was some weird issue changing gears and slippage with chain. (tightened cables and what not) Bike shop changed the chain and cassette (no clue what was going on there so minus 1 star) for free and it works amazingly. Had it over one year in now. I change the tires out during winter for a deep wide tread with studs. Super happy with it!

Entry level bike punching above it's weight

I got this hard tail after 20 years gap from mountain biking, I wanted a hardtail bike on a budget. The Rockhopper comp has a quality frame and a groupset that performs well, After a few weeks riding the bike is a machine punching above it's weight, Sure you can get better but for the money its spot on
