    Enduro Comp 27.5

    2018 Enduro Comp 27.5

Nimble, flick'able, agile—whatever you want to call it, our Enduro Comp 650b embodies it in one hell of a beautiful, redesigned alloy package.

We gave it a geometry that features a slacker front end, a longer top tube, short chainstays, and a lower bottom bracket. All of this together makes the bike truly feel glued to the ground, and the platform is more responsive and capable then ever. Old has also been made new again by making a triumphant return to a threaded bottom bracket, while the frame is constructed with our legendary X-Wing layout and M5 alloy. And to ensure top-level performance on the descents, this material choice is greeted by 170mm of plush rear and 170mm front travel, plus a geometry that can be "adjusted" via a shock extension with a "low/high" setting.

For the build, this Enduro is packed with send-it-ready gear, like SRAM one-by 11-speed shifting, powerful Guide R brakes, crazy-strong Roval wheels, and a RockShox Yari fork up front.

Takes everything I throw at it

I have had the specialize enduro fsr for 2 years and this bike is bullet proof. I have had minimal repairs (bottom bracket) and would recommend this bike to anyone who wants a great ride at a great value

    Would Recommend?
    Yes!

Love the looks and colour, pity about some of the parts

Love the X Wing frame design. The suspension works well and the bike handles just about anything. It pedals quite well despite the weight but you need to be fit to enjoy the climbs. Component spec, especially the wheels leave much to be desired. The wheels are weak and heavy especially the back wheel thanks to a below par rear hub which is heavy and chews bearings and develops play.. A gravity bike should not be sold with 24/28 spoke wheels. Alos means an upgrade requires new hubs!. Just replaced the wheels with quite cheap 32 spoke hubs/rims and they weigh less! . Would not take much to spec decent wheels on the bike from the start.

    Comp is a compromise

If you want to get a high end bicycle at a reasonable price you are going to have to make some compromises, and that is exactly what the comp is. It is an amazing bike but in this case the compromise is the weight. Although its a bit heavy, I think the compromises made were for the best. I consider myself a fairly aggressive rider and this bike has truly been a pleasure to ride. I've never felt so balanced a bike before, when you are on the edge ripping around a turn the bike feels so composed (gotta take the tubes out though) I often find myself going back and admiring my tire marks (closed trail) because they are so beautiful. Yes the cutties, manuals, and whips are amazing on this bike there are some draw backs. Its a bit heavy, but that should be expected buying budget high end bike. Also volume spacers can not be added to the rear shock, and that is a bit of bummer because I would trade auto sag for progression adjustment any day of the week. I do like the fork it feels great and if I want a fork upgrade later on, I can just get the Charger damper. Its like a whole fork upgrade for half the price. Lastly, I have had a bunch of my bolts have come loose. I had this problem with a 2014 demo in the past as well. I hope they are unloading their torque wrenches at night. Other than those minor flaws this bike is incredible.

Great value for a big hitter trail bike

This bike isn't without it's faults but what bike isn't. After some suspension setup though, the result it an unbelievably capable bike. Not the quickest uphill but gets the job done without annihilating my legs. Have done 3000 foot epic big mountain shreddy rides. Nothing but smiles on such days. It may be heavy but it is indestructible and holds a line like no other. My only gripes are the brakes and the occasional issues with the shock.

    Best of both worlds

One for the 12yr old an 1 for the 50yr old. Id say this bike loves DH and any Eastcoast rock trail you throw at it. My kid gets big air on this bike at Highland. Id say its heavy and its not nimble for everyday use on single track. That is why I love it. Tons of fun at the ski hill parks and a bear in the trails

very capable tank when pointed down

The comp is heavy but its a tank. It will survive anything you throw at it. The good: Very forgiving on the downslopes specially on very technical terrian. Its a blast The fit is perfect im 5'7"" reach is great and climbing is not cramped. Its glues to the ground The bad: Its not as nimble as they describe it.. Not playful on smoother trails Slow. Low end components (spec stem and bars : heavy...) they could at least throw a lyric or gx eagle for this price. The tyres suck 2.6 butchers super slow and unpredictable. Not a good climber like reviews make it out to be, unless you are advanced and very fit. They could do a better job with the paint scheme on the alum models. Buy on sale. Dont pay msrp not worth the value.

    Perfect blend of trail/dh

Great for rough, janky trail riding where I live in PA. Not great on climbs but if you stiffen the suspension it's not terrible. Feels at home at DH parks and this bike is practically bombproof. Bike has been hucked and wrecked hard 4 times and it feels indestructible. Good mid-range to high components and overall, an unbeatable price.
