Whether your goal is to escape on gravel back roads, far from cars and crowds, toe the start line at your first gravel race, or simply get the most versatile bike on the road or dirt, no bike is better than the new Diverge. It's quite simply the fastest, most capable - and just maybe the most fun - alloy bike we've ever made, delivering a ride that's quick and lively, but stable and confidence inspiring when the terrain gets rough. With all-new gravel geometry and category leading tire clearance, the new Diverge represents everything we've learned over more than 40 years of riding road, gravel and dirt. The Diverge writes an entirely new chapter in the gravel bike category, so you can dream up entirely new rides. It's the ultimate getaway vehicle.

With a premium E5 alloy frame and a full carbon FACT fork the Diverge E5 delivers a fast, confident and comfortable ride on road, in the dirt, and over thick gravel. Shimano’s Claris 2x8 group gives a wide range of gears for any terrain, while Axis Elite alloy wheels and Pathfinder Sport 38mm tires provide an efficient ride on pavement with the versatility for hard pack dirt riding.

  • Our Premium E5 Aluminum frame provides a stiff, light, and durable platform. When mated to our full carbon FACT fork, the Diverge Base E5 becomes a light, lively and versatile bike ready to attack any surface.
  • We tossed gravel geometry ‘status-quo’ out the window. The new Diverge has the most progressive geometry we’ve ever created for a drop bar bike, giving riders a capable and stable bike in the dirt, that still feels responsive and nimble on the road. We’ve increased the frame’s reach, introduced a slacker head tube and a longer offset fork. All this creates incredible confidence with a planted feeling in the dirt, while spec’ing shorter stems keeps the overall cockpit length the same and the steering lively. We’ve kept the bike’s BB low to increase stability, but high enough to utilize with 650b wheels if that’s your jam.
  • We’ve given the Diverge plenty of rack mounts, including fork and top tube mounts, to ensure you can take what you need, no matter how far you plan to go, or how long you plan to stay out.
  • Nothing unlocks a bike’s capability like tire clearance, so we gave the new Diverge a whopping 47mm of tire clearance with a 700c wheel and 2.1” with a 650b wheel. Thanks to a drive side chain stay utilizing a machined alloy beam behind the chain rings we’ve created clearance without using a fragile dropped chain stay design or increasing chain stay length.

Great bike for fun

This bike is light, versatile, fast and great fun. I have been using it for more 6 months now and done probably 20-30 rides. Not a problem and good for hills and rougher roads. Great service from the pickup Shop

My new Diverge 5

Ok so I w been riding a 30 year old clunker bike on purpose. I have a bike from this century, but it is no comparison to the Diverge 5. I like this bike because it is efficient, lightweight and takes the power I put into and blasts me on my way. It has the room I need, the set up I need and the possibilities I need to take it places whether on long rides, bike packing or just cruising around the neighborhood.

Great bike fast and lightweight

The only thing I didn’t like the was factory pedals now that I put race face pedals it made a huge difference in the ride and I’m going to change out the narrow handle bars for adventure bar and gel tape .. all the other components are wonderful from factory

I love my Diverge E5

I have a 2020 Specialized Diverge and absolutely love it. It has well over 10,000 miles on it with no issues at all. I rode it 962 miles across Texas in 2020 hauling a Bob Trailer packed with about 50 pounds of gear. It handled it beautifully. I write about it often in my theoldguybicycleblog.com blog. Check it out sometime.

I want to like.

I want to like this bike, but I have had a lot of issues with ghost shifting. I have less than 200 miles on it, and it's been into the shop twice to try to address the issue. I thought it was fixed, but my last time out it started going crazy around mile 25. I love the ride when it's right.

Top and bottom

Treated myself to a used S-WORKS Diverge (Ultegra Di2) from 2018 and based on that have bought a 2022 Diverge E5 but upgrading it to Shimano 105 Di2 and adding hover bar. Love the ride. Buying a base spec frame and customising it the way you want is an interesting option.

Excellent commuter bike

Have now put over 6000 miles on the bike commuting, frame is excellent, the Claris components are slick and cheap to replace worn items, I upgraded the tektro Mira brakes which are ok. The axis elite wheels however are the reason for only giving this bike 4 stars, constant spokes breaking meant I had to replace and upgrade the wheels which are not fit for purpose on a bike of this value. Upgraded to tubeless wheels the the pathfinder tyres and they have been great, I am just as fast on this as my road bike and this is far more comfortable. Just a shame yih have to upgrade a few items to make this bike really great.

Great bike!

I purchased my E5 in the spring of 2021 and rode now for 2 x bike-packing summers in Norway. I've probably put about 3000km on it and haven't had a single issue. I have been mostly doing on road trips, but did handle the Rollarveggen (Norway) this summer without any problems carrying 2 x loaded panniers in the back. My partner also has the same exact model and it has also been spot on. The only thing to say is that the stock seat is average for long distances. My partner upgraded hers and said it made all the difference. I will do the same this year.

So much bike for the price

This is my first bike since 1987, wow has stuff changed. I can't recommend this bike enough, it's light, capable and built for gravel. If you're looking to bet into gravel or back into biking (sorry, this is all I can coment about until I get more experience) you can't beat this bike.
