    2021 Diverge Comp Carbon

Whether your goal is to escape on gravel back roads, far from cars and crowds, or drop the hammer at the front of your favorite gravel race, no bike does it better than the new Diverge. It’s quite simply the fastest, most capable - and just maybe the most fun - bike we’ve ever made, delivering a ride that’s quick and lively under power, but stable and confidence inspiring when the terrain gets rough. From Future Shock 2.0 and all-new gravel geometry, to internal storage and category leading tire clearance, the new Diverge represents everything we’ve learned over more than 40 years of riding road, gravel and dirt. The Diverge writes an entirely new chapter in the gravel bike category, so you can dream up entirely new rides. It’s the ultimate getaway vehicle.

The Diverge Comp Carbon features the same game changing FACT 9r Carbon frame and Future Shock 2.0 as our Pro build but spec’d with Shimano’s mechanical shifting GRX 800 2x11 gravel group. Alloy DT Swiss G540 wheels keep you rolling efficiently, while Kanza winning Pathfinder Pro 38mm tires deliver performance across smooth pavement, dirt roads and gravel tracks. To give the Diverge Comp a perfectly balanced ride we spec Roval’s Terra seat post.

    Amazing Ride

I came back to cycling during the pandemic. Meeting the Diverge Comp Carbon was love at first sight. I am 6’ 3” so mine is a 61. What an amazing bike! Wonderful on the Florida gravel, and fast on the road. I am very impressed with each little detail of the construction and the excellent performance.

    Amazing all-around bike

If I had to sell all but one of my bikes this would be the one I’d keep. I’ve kept up on 50 mile 20+ MPH pavement group rides and mistakenly ended up on some XC trails in Bend Oregon and it was up to both ends of the tasks. It thrives in all the areas in between and when you add the SWAT box (I hate seat bags) it pushes it over the top. My only complaint is the wheels that come on the Comp Carbon are rubbish given the bikes price tag. I’m a bigger rider (250+ lbs)and already snapped two spokes (both before riding off road) so will be replacing with something stronger. Still would buy again in a heart beat and recommend for anyone that wants gravel but also plans on riding on the road.

    Lucky to find one

I found the Comp Carbon in my size where it had been sitting in a bike shop unsold for several weeks. Finally, I called, put a deposit on it, and made a long drive to pick it up. I could not be happier with it. I upgraded from a Sirrus X 5.0, which I really enjoyed riding, but the Comp Carbon is perfect for me: responsive, comfortable, smooth and great-looking. I've only put about 300 miles on it, but every time I go for a ride I feel really fortunate. If I hadn't found this one 3 hours away, I'd have had to drive 1000 miles for the next closest one.

Dialed-in, the best gravel bike for aggressive single-track

Spec did a revolutionary job on this refresh, bringing the best of MTB geometry to a versatile gravel bike. Highlights are SWAT, compliance you can feel in the stays and seat post, 2x drivetrain, 160 rotors with 180 option, huge tire clearance, and long, slack front end without losing responsiveness. I can climb 25-degree+ single track, or swap on a road wheelset and use for 70mi+ entrance rides. If forced to nitpick, the rubber and wheels are heavy, and most of the future shock dials don't have enough compressions, and are rendered useless. Fast, stable bike that can easily pack with the 2x, frame protection, and mounting points.

    Confidence Inspiring

I purchased the bike from my LBS Sycamore Cycles in Hendersonville NC and was happy to receive the bike early in the season since it is a 2021 bike. The Diverge just works. When you point it downhill it feels stable. Cornering is controlled and predictable. I never feel like I am over the front of the bike with the slacker geometry. The GRX braking is effortless. The tires ate up all gravel I threw at them. On pavement it rides smooth and fast with same tires. Nothing to complain about.
