BRUSSELS’S GREEN LAND

Gravel ride in the forest of Soignes

Brussels and its region are not only known for their famous Belgian fries or their crazy Cyclo-Cross races. In the south of Brussels, there is an ideal place to practice Gravel, the “Forêt de Soignes”. With its more than 4 Ha of surface completed by the “Bois de la Cambres”, this green land located to less than 4 km of the Manneken-Pis makes the happiness of the amateurs of Gravel paths. A good opportunity for our journalists to discover the latest generation of Crux, our brand's new Gravel bike.

Follow The Guide

From behind the wheel of Renaud's Crux

Who’s better than our local ambassador to take us to discover these countless trails? The appointment is made with Renaud, @renaud_911, in the early morning at the entrance of the Forêt de Soignes near Overijse. Having already ridden the forest, long and wide, on his Diverge, Renaud would have already done a 200 km ride without passing the same place twice. We can feel the pressure rising on the journalists' side.

9:30am the departure is launched! It is with temperatures worthy of the end of October but under a great sun that our ambassador Renaud guides this small troop from the Park of Tervuren to the Royal Lodge of Groenendaal while passing by the Dreves des Capucines, the Hippodrome of Boitsfort or the Castle of Hulpe.

Next stop: our local Brand Store Hot Wheelz Brussels for a lunch break and an amazing coffee!

MUST-SEE PLACES
Tervuren Park and Royal Museum for Central Africa

Located in the municipality of the same name, the Park of Tervuren is one of the places not to be missed in the Forêt de Soignes. It is composed of 8 ponds and many monuments such as the Museum of Central Africa or the ruins of the castle of Tervuren, but also of a rare forest of beech trees.

RIDING THE NEW CRUX

The King of the Forest

What could be better than the Crux, here in its S-Works version, to ride the trails of the Brussels forest. Its lightness, its handling and its comfort will be great allies to face the hilly paths of the forest.

We equipped our bike of the day with a pair of 42C Tracer tires for optimal grip in the sandy soil.
