Olympic champion. World champion. Grand Tour winner. But Remco Evenepoel’s legend is built on more than just speed—it’s forged in resilience.

Before all this? Remco was on Belgium’s U16 national football team. At 17, he pivoted to cycling—and never looked back. Within a year, he put the world on notice, winning both the time trial and road race at the World and European Junior Championships. By 19, he was racing pro.

On his Tour de France debut, he almost won the whole thing. He won a stage, ﬁnished third overall, and took home the white jersey. Just one week later? Double Olympic gold in the road race and time trial in Paris.
