2021 Diverge Comp E5

Whether your goal is to escape on gravel back roads, far from cars and crowds, toe the start line at your first gravel race, or simply get the most versatile bike on the road or dirt, no bike is better than the new Diverge. It’s quite simply the fastest, most capable - and just maybe the most fun – alloy bike we’ve ever made, delivering a ride that’s quick and lively, but stable and confidence inspiring when the terrain gets rough. From Future Shock 1.5 and all-new gravel geometry, to category leading tire clearance, the new Diverge represents everything we’ve learned over more than 40 years of riding road, gravel and dirt. The Diverge writes an entirely new chapter in the gravel bike category, so you can dream up entirely new rides. It’s the ultimate getaway vehicle.

Starting with premium E5 alloy frame and a full carbon FACT fork, we gave the Diverge Comp E5 our Future Shock 1.5 for a fast, confident and comfortable ride on road, in the dirt, and over thick gravel. Shimano’s gravel inspired GRX 600 group shifts 1x11 gears smoothly on any terrain and Axis Elite alloy wheels with Pathfinder Sport 38mm tires add even more capability and versatility.

It's honestly INSANE!!

Bought this bike back in June of 2020 and can say it has handled everything I've thrown at it from tiny loose grave, thick mud, 2-3"" rocks and more. will say though I would recommend having the pathfinder tires tubeless instead of tubed. around 250 miles they kind of just gave out at what I was doing. Other than that its a great bike!

Really good commuter bike and more than capable off tarmac

Great Bike, anyone who thinks it's too heavy needs to work out a bit more. The wheels and tyres are fine. Handles well and is comfortable on a daily commute. Future-Shock could probably do with a bit of improvement on future models as the rubber seals don't last too long

Prepare to spend some money

Equipped with non tubeless compatible wheels and heavy non tubeless tires. Plus this bike is north of 25 pounds in the smallest size. Similarly priced gravel bikes from the other brands come better equipped for actual gravel riding.

Diverge & Conquer

I have owned Specialized road and MTBs in the past, but never gave much thought to gravel bikes until a few of my roadie friends started adding them to their cycling quiver. So, not to be left out, I started investigating gravel bikes suited to the task and the Specialized Diverge Comp E5 seemed to tick all of my boxes: price, features, performance and reliability. And it has! If you need to take the blahs out of your road or MTB game, this bike is the changer you need. It's so much fun to play the pavement and the trails on one bike. I'm over 60, but it makes me feel like a kid again. Kudos, Specialized!

Not a single regret on this purchase

My first gravel bike and I can't believe how versatile it is. Incredibly happy with my purchase.

Love love love this gravel eater

This is my first venture into gravel riding but after lots of research and comparing bikes I opted for the Diverge and have zero regrets. The spec if fantastic for the price and perfectly suited to a mix of gravel / dirt and regular roads. The Geometry is well thought out and almost mixed Mountain and Road bike in harmony. Did I mention I love it?
