Allez Sprint Disc Frameset - Down Under Collection

2020 Allez Sprint Disc Frameset - Down Under Collection

Many of our World Tour riders choose to kick-off their season in Australia, and some do it on the Allez Sprint. That's a moment worth celebrating through our Down Under Collection, with a limited colorway inspired by the speed and beauty of the Australian Budgie.

Climbs, corners, flat-out sprints—the Allez Sprint does it all. Being the most advanced alloy road bike we've ever made, and one that often out-performs the carbon fiber bikes of other brands, the Allez Sprint is capable as a crit-racing tool or an everyday road steed. But even better, it performs all of the above at a price that's affordable for any racer's budget.

This Allez Sprint Disc frameset comes equipped with a Tarmac SL6 FACT carbon fiber fork and a Venge Aero seatpost that's also made from FACT carbon.

It just wants to go - Performance at an entry-level price

What I love about this bike: Responsive feeling: My bike weighs 18.54lbs (8.43kg), which I know is not light. But it doesn't feel heavy. It feels ready to go no matter what - whether it's the start of the ride or at the end of a long climb. I feel like I get all the power back that I put in, and it's an addicting amount of fun. Even if I'm not going super fast, it's always fun to get out of the saddle for a quick kick. Value: I spent about $3200 on the full build. I've ridden the top-of-the-line $12,500 Venge to compare, and yes, my bike isn't as nice, but I don't feel like it's that far off. At the moment, all the components and wheels are alloy, and even if I upgraded everything I could to the best carbon I could find, I would still be about $6,000 short of the Venge. Surprises: I thought this bike would be too stiff for long rides. But I completed a 50 mile ride the first weekend I had it, and I felt great the whole time. The longest ride I had done before then was 34 miles. So I'm pleasantly surprised that I can attempt longer rides/races on this. I even tried it on some easy gravel and it was perfectly comfortable for the likes of me. Color scheme: I've been getting many compliments. It's a stand-out. One drawback: The short wheelbase means you'll hit the front wheel/tire with your shoe if you're trying to to tight maneuvering while pedaling, but it's the same for the Venge.
