In order to bring EVO fun to the masses, we took our FACT 11m carbon frame (yes, the same one as the S-Works), dressed it with a bullet-proof SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain and a tough as nails set of alloy wheels, and set it loose to shred unsuspecting trails everywhere.

  • All the travel in the world is useless without the proper shock tuning and kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, we prioritized kinematic performance. Applying lessons learned while developing the Enduro, then following that with more than 1,000 hours of field and suspension lab development, we’ve not only improved the pedaling performance of the Stumpjumper, but we’ve made it more capable, agile, and lively. We increased anti-squat, so the suspension better resists pedal bob, and we further improved bump performance on square-edge hits. Bottom line? This thing shreds trails, not legs.

  • The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper EVO is our most progressive yet. Long, low, slack, short offset fork, steeper seat tube angle – these are requirements for modern progressive riding. But not everyone jibs the same way, which is why the geo on the new Stumpjumper EVO is fully adjustable with six different settings. You can adjust the BB height by 10mm, you can adjust your head angle by two-degrees, and you can make these adjustments independently of each other. Finally, if you want to go full-party mullet-mode, the EVO lets you run a 27.5-inch rear wheel mated with a 29-inch front.

  • Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures benchmark handling and flawless performance, regardless of frame or rider size. Whether you’re a jump-happy grom riding an S1, or a DH-fiend giant in need of the lengthy S6, you’ll experience the same ride traits – rail-sharp cornering and balanced front and rear stiffness – at the lightest-possible weight.

  • We introduced the SWAT™ door on the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding room IN your frame for those “oh sh**t” necessities like pumps and spare tubes, and immediately rendering jersey pockets redundant. With the new Stumpjumper, we have increased the volume and added a SWAT™ Bladder, giving you an extra 22oz of water storage – the same size as a small water bottle – hidden in your downtube.

Rear hub failure

Had just gotten the bike last week, put 30 miles on it max and the rear hub broke. Disappointing to say the least. I mean, 30 miles and a failure is pretty sad. Was having loads of fun on the bike, but this really put a dampener on it all.

Hubs need to be better

I have purchased both a Stumpjumper 2021 and an Stumpjumper Evo 2023. I love the bikes however both had multiple rear hub failures. I figured specialized would have solved this. I am 205 pounds and love to climb. Don’t expect to get more that 400km out of a stock rear hub. Specialized will warranty the part. No issues there - just watching your buddies ride off and enjoy the weekend without you is real sad. Dropping 6k on a bike and having consistent hub issues is not cool. I would understand if it was one. But I have had 4 fail. Great bikes but upgrade the hub before your SOL.

Pushed my riding to a whole new level

I'm not a great rider but with this bike I'm doing things I didn't think I'd ever feel comfortable doing. It climbs over things easily and I have so much confidence on the descends. Over all happy with my purchase. I highly recommend this bike.

Perfect for everything!

If you want a bike that can do anything and that is the PERFECT middle ground, this is the bike for you! The only thing I don't like is the fact that it doesn't come with 27.5 wheels. 27.5 RULES!!! In my opinion at least.

Fantastic Bike

Disclaimer: I am NOT an amazing rider. Not by a long shot...But this bike sure is an amazing bike. This bike is capable of tackling all of my local DFW trails with ease. I've also been able to take it to Moab, Park City, Palo Duro, and Bentonville now and it hasn't failed me yet. Granted, I wasn't on any double black trails in those areas, but if I was good enough to ride them I have no doubt the bike would have handled them without a problem. I've made some minor upgrades but it is pretty well-equipped right out of the box. I love that I am able to modify the geo quickly and easily when I want to try a different riding style. You won't regret the purchase.

Upgraded

I went from a 2008 dinosaur of a stump jumper to one of these beasts after renting one I knew I needed one. This bike shreds and absolutely love the way I ride and push it. With some slight cockpit upgrades and going Cush core and tubeless I can’t say enough good about this bike.

Evo Comp carbon

I’m in the desert southwest and was looking for a hearty plow horse to hit the mountain and ride in the foothills as well. I love the adjustability. It makes it versatile. Flatter trails can still be fun and you have the ability to bomb down steeper trails as well. Light, comfortable at speed and super playful.

Great all around bike

Original config was super slow on cross country trails. Friends on Epic Evos would crush me, but swapping out chunky tires to more XC and getting rival carbon rims made all the difference. And i can still bomb down runs with loads of travel.

Forests to Deserts this bike does it all!

I have had this bike for just about a year now and have taken it to Moab, Whistler, Deer Valley, and tones of trails around the colorado area. I have a S5 and this bike really does do it all. If you are looking for the one quiver option this is the bike for you! Although be careful with the stock rims (they are not as tough as they describe them to be).

great for the chunk

This bike is great for technical and chunky trails, it is a decent climber as well. When you hit flowy single track it can keep pace but really shines in more demanding type trails (think north shore) type. Cornering in tight spots and switchbacks is a bit arduous due to its slack and length (I have an S6 so maybe smaller frames not as much as struggle) but you can get use to it.

Stumpy

Such a beautiful bike, the colour (doppio) is a lot darker in real life and looks so good, I have had this bike for almost a week, I have had an opportunity to take it on the trails and it handled so good while looking good, I have had the opportunity to hit some nice jumps and man it handles it well, perfect bike for trails and just hanging around on the streets, because its carbon the climb isn't too bad anymore and the declines man, its crazy how light a bike can be with so many components

My new love

Just upgraded from a 2009 SX trail 2, I loved it but she started to wear out too much. This stump jumper is an upgrade in every aspect. The bike looked large and felt a little large at first, but it didn’t take long for it to feel right. It climbs great especially for the type of bike it is. I have not had the opportunity to hit big jumps yet, but smaller ones I have to be careful to not over shoot them. Biggest drop so far was about 6 feet, no problem. I have a 5ish mile loop with long up with some steep parts, rocky area’s, small jumps and drops, steep downward turns, long rides, everything good. I shed about 10min of the loop from my old bike with energy to spare. I have not moved any of the adjustments from the middle settings, not sure if I will. I’m 5’10, 170 pounds I got the S4, fits just right. I trimmed the bars to 275mm.

Fast, powerful

Amazing bike. The color (dopio/sand) is actually quite a bit darker in real life and looks absolutely incredible. The bike is big. Really big. Very stable and the suspension is amazing. The bike wants to understeer a bit so you really got to make sure you are focused on control (compared to 27.5 where you can be hanging in the backseat a lot more). The bike climbs really really well and the carbon allows for some good weight management and pop on jumps. Little difficult to handle in super tight tech trails but eats any rock gardens or chudder in between. Great bike!

Amazing do almost anything rig

A 9/10. Coming from a Specialized Enduro, I never thought I'd say this...but this ST-EVO is a better bike in almost everyway. It's playful, climbs well, descends exceptionally well, pops off of everything, is comfortable, feels just as solid as the Enduro. It's a one bike quiver in my opinion. With a decent wheelset, it would be a 10/10.
