I bought this bike for 3 reasons: My daughter started riding it at 3yr/3mo. 1/ the hand brake means she didn't have to think about forward/backward pedalling and also could stop while feet off coasting. Brilliant, she picked it up instantly. 2/ Tool-less training wheels means when you're out riding she could have a quick try without them then could pop them back on when she'd had enough. She came from a balance bike so we only used training wheels for the first ride and when riding inside the house. Sometimes she wants them on cos her friends still have them on... 3/Seat height. My 3yo is pretty short. She can ride this no worries. The bad: Bike is heavy. Hasn't been an issue yet and may provide some stability. Still, highly recommended.

After walking in to buy a balance bike we walked out with a much better purchase in the Riprock Coaster 12. Our son loves his bike, we love the quality of the build, the transferable 24mth warranty and the high level of customer service. I do not find the weight of the bike an issue, I actually think it helps our son to gain balance while riding.
