Germany’s Bright Star

Thankfully for the world of cycling, Florian—affectionately known as Lipo—chose two wheels over two skis, trading a potential career in biathlon for life in the professional peloton.

Lipo’s Tour de France debut in 2025 was explosive, finishing an impressive third overall, capturing the young rider’s white jersey and cementing the growing buzz around his General Classification (GC) potential.

The 25-year-old's 2025 season was truly special. He opened the year with a commanding second place at Paris–Nice, one of the WorldTour’s most prestigious one-week races. Before the Tour de France, Lipo delivered another outstanding GC battle at the Critérium du Dauphiné, again rounding out the podium, a clear preview of the success that would follow just a few weeks later.
