Women's Prime Bib Shorts

The perfect apparel for the perfect ride, that's what our Prime apparel is all about. The best fabrics, constructions, and technologies go into these pieces, and the Women's Prime Bib Shorts are no exception.

Starting with the uppers, the open suspender design keeps the bibs right where you want them, without constricting any upper body movements. The suspender fabric is also extremely soft and plush, eliminating any shoulder discomfort or irritation, yet we've still built in a HookUp magnetic bib connection making nature breaks much easier.

The pre-molded, triple-density foam Women's Body Geometry Contour 3D Chamois is contoured to perfectly match the curvature of your body, all while being soft and supportive in all the right places.

With the Prime Bib Shorts, you're sure to embrace the "chamois time is training time" motto as they're so comfortable, you won't want to take them off.

REALLY uncomfortable 30 mins into my ride

OUCH!! I was in the saddle 30 minutes and OUCH!! The lack of padding in these, compared to the SL’s is significant!!!!! I wasn’t expecting that at all, especially with the price. I returned these bibs the next day.

Mostest Favoritest Bibs Ever

I waited to write this review until I got some good use out of these bibs. I ride road and gravel. I LOVE them!!! Truly best bibs EVER. The fit is superb! They make me feel better than my everyday clothes - I feel thinner, sexier, and like a better version of me. I wish I could wear them to work! The chamois is high quality, no rubbing, no compressing. My only complaint is the detachment for bathroom breaks is kind of useless - I tried to use it once but it's not so easy. I would rather just not have it. I will say, I was worried the back attachment would come unsnapped all the time and rub on my spine, but it never has; the snaps are good and I don't even notice them. I tried other brands this Spring before I bought these from well recommended brands from my women rider friends - they didn't compare and I returned them all. #iamspecialized. I tried a small, but sized up to a medium. I am 5'4" ca. 140 lbs and 52 (my meno belly disappears in these bibs!).

Comfy, but problematic

I really like these bibs, as they are really comfortable and stay put on long rides. However, the clasp for the drop tail is terrible and its easier to wear any other option. If you pull up on the straps too hard, the clasp comes undone and snaps you in the back of your head. You still have to get completely undressed to go to the bathroom because you can only re attach the clasp when the straps are off. Id like these more without the drop tail.

Very comfortable, but running small.

I bought a small size, but this small felt like XS. So I have to exchange or return it if M size runs out.

Very comfortable! Only problem is being able to clip it back during a ride as it tends to spring to the neck area once released.

Disappointed…

Overall these bibs are not as nice as I’d hoped they would be. I like the fit and the fabric, as well as the clasps in the back. However, these things don’t make up for the seams along the chamois. They are chunky and the excess padding left around the seams make these bibs incredibly uncomfortable. The seams and excess padding on the chamois are super itchy. They also cause too much friction and pressure for me. The chamois is also not very comfortable on long rides, as it is too bulky in the front and tends to dig in. On my second ride with these, after thirty minutes I was wishing I had worn a different pair. For the price, I would have expected the closest attention to detail, but the chamois feels no different than some of my significantly cheaper bibs and the seams are infinitely more uncomfortable. I’m super disappointed in the quality and wish I could return them, but I can’t, so I’ll be leaving these bibs for shorter, less intense rides where friction is at a minimum.

Comfy, but small

The fabric is really nice, but I have 3 other specialized bibs size L and this one just feels smaller. I got sausage legs, which I can live with, but what really annoys me is that the magnetic clip on the back feels too high up, the straps are elastic, so when I unclip, the top clip almost always goes to the back of my neck (the straps on the other bibs I have, have way less give, so they don't shrink away when unclipped) so I always have trouble clipping it back. I'll say that the clips were annoying enough that the first couple times I used it, I gave up on trying to clip it back, took my shirt off and just did it the easy way, which defeats the purpose. I wonder if I sized up my experience would have been less frustrating :(

Very comfortable but I found the same as previous reviewers, the legs are tight. Still worth the purchase.

Almost, Almost Perfect

I love these bib shorts and have several pairs of them - they're my absolute favorites! The fabric keeps you cool in hot weather and the chamois is perfect for long rides. The material is also quite durable if you want to take them out on the trails. I did give this product a 4-star rating for a couple of reasons: 1. Sausage legs - If you have a more athletic/muscular build, you will definitely get pretty bad sausage legs. The elastic cuffs feel like they are disproportionally small in relation to the rest of the shorts. 2. If you are riding in the heat it will be very apparent if you start sweating, especially if you are wearing a lighter-colored pair (e.g. Cast Umber). I do recommend these shorts, as they are well-made and very comfortable. I do suggest getting them in black if you are going to be riding in hot weather and sizing up (at least one size) if you are at all worried about experiencing the sausage leg look.
