Marlen Reusser

In 2017, Marlen finished her medical studies and solved her first cycling license. The successes were not long in coming and she decided to quit her job as a surgical resident two years later to dedicate herself to a professional career.

In 2020 she rode for the French team Équipe Paule Ka (formerly Bigla Katusha), which disbanded and she moved to the Italian team Alé BTC Ljubljana as of 2021. In that year she became European Champion and Vice World Champion in the individual time trial and she won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. She also achieved podium finishes in the biggest road races.

"This year Marlen tackles the second season with the team SD Worx. The Dutch team has a long history and has already won many major victories and championships. For example, Marlen's stage win at the inaugural Tour des Femmes last year. This year, the team is again striving to consolidate its position as one of the best women's road cycling teams in the world - and Marlen is an important part of that. So we can look forward to seeing what 2023 will bring!"
