I had an opportunity to try out the Specialized Renegade tires in the 2.3 size front and rear. Unfortunately, we had greasy trails a majority of the riding season (or at least every time I was able to ride!) I think these tires would be a great choice for dry, hardpack trails. It's not that they didn't do okay when conditions were slimy, but compared to the Fast Traks, I didn't have as much traction/grip as I would've liked. I'm hoping to try a Fast Trak front/Renegade rear setup next year, if conditions are favorable enough. Overall, the ride feel of these tires were good and I didn't have issues with durability on my local trails. They didn't shine as bright as the Fast Traks for me, but they were still a fine tire to roll on.
