The Ground Control GRID 2Bliss Ready tyre is an exceptionally versatile trail tyre. CAD engineered knob shapes strengthen the knob structure for optimal braking and traction, but knob surfaces remain adaptable for the best possible ground control. Meanwhile, our proprietary GRIPTON compound helps make this the perfect choice for epic trail rides in any condition. Please note that we recommend GRID tyres for anyone seeking the utmost in flat and sidewall protection or additional stability.

Great Tire!

Recently we put on Ground Control tires in the 2.3 size front/rear to roll around on for the remainder of the fall/early winter season. Our trails are leaf-covered and in some spots, nut covered during the fall months. Nothing like a little extra traction to keep you upright! I'll admit, ordering these tires with the Grid casing were an accident on my part, but I looked at it as a blessing in disguise. Currently you can't see anything under the leaf cover, and these may be a great choice to put on the bike for out-of-down adventures. I rode on these tires up a very leafy trail, I'm talking so leafy that my husband didn't think we'd be able to find the trail, leafy. They worked amazingly well! I felt more confident knowing I had more grip and control. My tire of choice so far would be Fast Trak, but these are a great option for our current trail conditions and for future springtime conditions. They won't ride as ""plush"" as a non-grid tire, but that shouldn't detract you from giving these a go, especially if you want extra sidewall/puncture protection.

PERFECT All-around tire

I have used the Ground Control on several bikes through the years and have always been happy with it. The current iteration (reviewed here) provides consistent, predictable traction from the center knobs all the way out the the shoulders. The medium-height knobs roll fast while providing excellent grip on hard-pack, loose-over-hardpack, sand, rocks, loam, and anything but the thickest of mud. The open tread pattern ensures that mud and snow clear the tread to keep the knobs biting in less-than-ideal conditions. The tough GRID casing allows me to choose a tire pressure according to the conditions without worrying about my sidewalls holding up. I use the Ground Control GRID as a rear tire year-round, and as a front as well when paring down weight for a big cross-country ride or race.

One of the best all around tires

The new tread pattern and compound is astonishingly grippy. The GRID casing is very light which is good and bad. Good because its light not so good because it doesn't have quite as much support as I've come to like with other grids and also not quite as puncture resistant. Other than that it's absolutely fantastic.

Gripton not cutting the mustard

The new Gripton Grid tires leak sealant out the tops and sidewalls after a month or so. I have tossed tires that were only 40% worn as they were just seeping out too much sealant. I suspect the casing needs to be a bit thicker to keep the sealant from seeping out

Ground Control Grid

Really nice tire in 2.6 for the back. Rolls fast and wears slow. Tough bombproof tire for the back.
