Women's SL Race Bib Shorts

Delivery Icon

We deliver! Just say when and how.

There's quite a few boxes that your 'favorite pair of bib shorts" must check. The chamois has to be perfect—soft to touch, foam in all the right places, and perfect shape. And the materials must be compressive, yet still comfortable while being sized correctly. It's been a lengthy process, but we're happy to say that the SL Race Bib Shorts check all the right boxes. The pre-molded, triple-density foam Body Geometry Contour 3D Chamois is contoured to perfectly match the curvature of your body, all while being soft and supportive in all the right places. The other part of the comfort equation is the extremely stretchy, soft bib straps paired with a soft four-way stretch fabric. On the performance side, the same four-way stretch fabric also features plenty of compression, for long days in the saddle. The three-inch-tall silicone cuff also ensures that your bibs stay in place in a variety of conditions.

All day functionality and flattering

Great chamois as expected from Specialized… I can train in these all day and feel good. The magnets are unique and offer an effective quicker rest stop option especially when layered up for winter training. Love the material of these bibs and opt for them everyday.

Great bibs

The chamois is comfortable. Having the magnetic snaps in the back is great for comfort stops. The grips at the bottom of the legs hold well and keep them from rolling up.

I really like the length

I really like the length of these bibs and the leg gripper is longer than other brands. I saw reviewers express how the gripper peels back. That’s not happening to me. These bibs don’t give me sausage legs which is important to me. The paneling around the waist is flattering and I’m grateful for the magnet release on the straps.

Seriously awesome, had a massive stack on my bike and basically bodysurfed the bitumen - came away with the tiniest little hole in the shorts and still look almost good as new! 100% recommend.

First pair of bibs

These are my first pair of bibs so I don't have much to compare them too, but I'm pretty happy with them so far! I'm always in between a medium and large in bottoms, and I went with a medium this time and I'm happy with them.

Jury is still out on

Jury is still out on these. I'm typically a small in shorts (5'8' 137 lbs) and these seem to be a tad too small for me. They are very tight, which has nice compression, but I can't seem to get the chamois in the right place to be comfortable. The chamois is also larger than I'm used to as it goes pretty far down your inner thighs. I also wish the shorts were a tad longer, since my leg and/or knee warmers don't seem to come up that high and stay tucked in.

Has the potential to be a great bib

I really wanted to love these bibs, but unfortunately experienced the same issues as other reviewers. First off, the fit was great and the magnetic drop tail works well! Unfortunately, the quality of the chamois is on par with lower end PI bibs. It doesn't offer much support, so I won't be able to use this bib for long rides. I thought that since Specialized purchased Machines for Freedom, they might use the same chamois but they definitely do not. The upper is more comfortable than my MFF bibs though, so if they could just swap the chamois these could be great. I also experienced a little bit of irritation from the gripper, and I'm usually the person who thinks grippers are fine when other people have issues with them. Standing in them, the gripper felt a little itchy, but I didn't notice it while riding. Someone who's more sensitive might have more of an issue with it though.

Yes! Love them!!

Just finished riding a metric century in the SL bib shorts and they are the most comfortable shorts I've ever ridden in. The only problem is that they are impossible to hook on your own (unless you have super flexible shoulders) and the magnetized snaps pop open when you take the bib down to pee.
