Delivery Icon

We deliver! Just say when and how.

Consider Vado your high-performance transportation bike, getting you where you’re going with an unmatched combination of speed, reliability, and confidence. Whether you load it up with your stuff, or jump on and go, commute to work, or ride to the gym, Vado’s full power and huge range will get you from ‘point A’ to ‘point B’ ASAP.

The Specialized Vado has everything you need for e-powered transport. It brings a balanced nature to the way it handles and superior levels of comfort. This is a true class leader of its type.

TURBO: The heart of the Vado is its Turbo technology, an advanced and integrated electric bike system that delivers an unequaled combination of power, natural feel, anti-theft functions, training tips, and a full-function bike computer.

POWERFUL: It’s you, just faster — it’s 4x You. The Turbo Full Power system senses the force you apply to the pedals and naturally quadruples it for an experience that makes getting up any hill or to any destination no sweat. Literally.

COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT: Body position and handling are optimized to deliver unsurpassed riding comfort, confidence, and control. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes reign in your speed, while larger tires provide maximum traction for turning and stopping.

SMOOTH: Stay comfortable in the saddle with an 80mm front suspension fork, higher volume tires, and a plush suspension seat post that smooths harsh bumps from points A to B.

SECURE: Vado has anti-theft lock built right into the bike. Prevent would-be bike thieves by disabling the motor with a press of a button so no one can turn on the motor without your phone connected to the Specialized app or your personalized pin. The Vado’s battery locks in the bike or can be easily taken with you. And if anyone tries to move your bike an alarm will sound. Beat it, thieves.

The speed limit at which the motor will stop supporting may vary significantly by region and is based on local requirements. It may also affect range: a higher speed limit may result in less range.

Have rode more in two weeks than the last 10 years

This bike is a great equalizer for me. Hills that I wouldn’t tackle on a regular bike are manageable. I struggled to choose between the 4.0 and 5.0 and I am happy I went with the 4.0 chain drive with gears. I like being able to choose my level of fitness while pedaling. I have two small complaints with the bike; for a commuter bike where presumably folks will be riding with normal clothes, my pants (not wide legged) have both caught on the charging port cover and caught and torn off the chain guard. The other is that the seat is uncomfortable. But for the price point, the Specialized brand, and all of the thought to design and controller interface, this is a lot of bike for the dollar. This is a very fun and comfortable bike to ride.

Turbo Vado 4.0

I just picked up my Turbo V 4.0 and let me tell you the best set of wheels for the buck I have on had 1 nice ride and let me say I’ll be commuting and riding quite a bit she’s really nice; good and comfortable; up hills down hill or flat terrain I did as much as I could to test her out can’t wait to enjoy many more rides and adventure!

Love my new bike

I recently purchased the Vado 4 Step-Through and love the bike and look forward to many miles. The ride is smooth and feel very natural with the assistance. I love the extra speed and it makes hills disappear. I am easily able to travel at about 20 mph and feel secure and sturdy on turns. The fork takes bumps nicely and the ride remains comfortable. I really think it is very well equipped, especially at the latest price drop. I have been looking for several years and am glad I finally pulled the trigger. When I compared similar models, I really feel like I nailed the sweet spot for features and specs I was after at a very competitive price. The app is also nice and the screen is readable in sunlight.

A really fun bike

My Wife and I are avid cyclists and really didn't need an e-bike, but we wanted something that was just fun. I did heavy research with TREK and Specialized and almost went with TREK because of their excellent customer service, but I felt not quite happy with their choices. I then looked at Specialized, miles better for the look, price and power and especially the 48 month zero interest loan. I've had my bike for 3 days and look for reasons to use it, (do you need milk at Publix, Honey?). I'm really pleased with the color display and Mission Control which I'm still learning about, but after looking at a few YouTube vids, it's getting even BETTER! So happy with our purchase! 6 stars if I could. Rock Creek Outfitters in Chattanooga get a special shout out!

Comfortable and powerful! Plenty of torque for hills!

Smooth ride, can handle some bumps, dirt and gravel despite having fenders. You still need to shift gears to keep up your speed on hills but the large battery and capable motor make it a winner.

Nicely equipped except for the motor (very weak)

Comfortable and well equipped and great on flat roads and paved paths; however, very disappointing performance against the wind or going uphill…disaster if you try doing both of those things. An e-bike touring company provided these bikes to us for a week-long tour in Vermont. They performed well as long as the terrain was relatively flat. The low spec 250 watt motor provided some assistance on mild uphill grades but provided NO assistance or help whatsoever on steeper grades. It just doesn’t have the power to get up hills…period. We had to miss about 1/3rd of the tour routes because of weak motor. Everyone in the group of 17 who had these bikes had the same complaint. I understand why these bikes have many favorable reviews but I have to assume these are new e-bike riders who don’t fully realized what the new ebikes are capable of. Two stars for quality of build and comfort only.

Makes Me Want To Get Out and Ride

After talking with friends that recently bought e-bikes, I decided to check out what the excitement was all about. I tried several brands but didn't find a bike that fit me until I tried the Turbo Vado. As a man in my mid-60s, several bike shops recommended a step-through model and I took them up on their recommendation. Since this bike (L) weighs approximately 58 pounds, leaning a step-over frame to mount/dismount could be tricky. The step-through is easy to mount/dismount and comfortable when standing during stops. The frames between both models are identical except for the step-over height. The learning curve for this bike was about 10 seconds. It is very natural feeling. I changed the start up mode to ECO, which gives me plenty of assist. I bought the Turbo Vado 4.0 in order to get the highest capacity battery. In mostly ECO mode on the bike paths, I’m getting approximately 70 miles from a full charge. I look forward to riding every day, weather permitting.
