We deliver! Just say when and how.

Consider Vado your high-performance transportation bike, getting you where you’re going with an unmatched combination of speed, reliability, and confidence. Whether you load it up with your stuff, or jump on and go, commute to work, or ride to the gym, Vado’s full power and huge range will get you from ‘point A’ to ‘point B’ ASAP.

The Specialized Vado has everything you need for e-powered transport. It brings a balanced nature to the way it handles and superior levels of comfort, plus a motor range of up to 90 miles. This is a true class leader of its type.

TURBO: The heart of the Vado is its Turbo technology, an advanced and integrated electric bike system that delivers an unequaled combination of power, natural feel, anti-theft functions, training tips, a full-function bike computer, 93 miles / 150 km of range, and more.

POWERFUL: It’s you, just faster — it’s 4x You. The Turbo Full Power system senses the force you apply to the pedals and naturally quadruples it for an experience that makes getting up any hill or to any destination no sweat. Literally.

COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT: Body position and handling are optimized to deliver unsurpassed riding comfort, confidence, and control. Powerful hydraulic disc brakes reign in your speed, while larger tires provide maximum traction for turning and stopping.

SMOOTH: Stay comfortable in the saddle with an 80mm front suspension fork, and higher volume tires that smooths harsh bumps from points A to B.

SECURE: Vado has anti-theft lock built right into the bike. Prevent would-be bike thieves by disabling the motor with a press of a button so no one can turn on the motor without your phone connected to the Specialized app or your personalized pin. The Vado’s battery locks in the bike or can be easily taken with you. And if anyone tries to move your bike an alarm will sound. Beat it, thieves.

The speed limit at which the motor will stop supporting may vary significantly by region and is based on local requirements. It may also affect range: a higher speed limit may result in less range.

New retiree and new bike

Ordered a Valdo 3.0 IHG and I am enjoying it. Quality product and everything works like it should. I am not out to qualify for the Tour de France, so the weight and not hitting 28 MPH is not an issue at all. Between the fit and finish and the great discount this was an excellent choice for me.

Terrific commuter, wish it had USB-C

I LOVE this bike and have replaced virtually all of my 15 mi round trip commuting and weekly 25 mi rides downtown with it. I found the IGH slower than the Vado 3.0 with traditional chain and gears, but don't feel like that's a limitation -- I typically cruise at around 22 mph and can push up to 24-25 mph if I work at it (plenty fast for trails and poor roads). I also get great battery life, and can put up to 35-40 miles on a full charge if I'm using Sport or Turbo mode, but can bike significantly farther using Eco (probably up to 70-80, but haven't used a full charge). The worst part is the proprietary charger. The bike charges at around 170 W, which is well within the USB-C power delivery spec, but instead the battery uses a proprietary charger that costs ~$150 if you want an extra. If this ebike used a standardized charging port, it would be perfect and open up a wide range of other uses.

Vado 3.0 IGH

Love the bike and the IGH technology. Very well built bike. I wish you could get the Vado4.0 in the IGH. That is my only complaint and to be honest that’s a very small complaint.

Better than expected

We bought 2 of the Vada 3.0 IGH after researching & testing many ebikes (also own Trex bikes). We like the quiet IGH belt, smooth gear shifting, upgraded app, wide tires, & many other features. The Enviolo Twist Shift Lever was upgraded from the one we rode in bike shop. We have ridden quite a bit & had no problems with battery life or speed (up to 30mph). So far, our longest ride was 34mi. We mostly used eco & sport mode, but had 46%/ 48% of battery remaining after 34mi on each bike. Another ride was 26mi & still had 64% of the battery remaining. At 10%, bikes will gear down so factor that into rides. The bikes feel solid & decent quality (except fenders) but HEAVY, so that is disadvantage when trying to load on our platform bike rack. When I forget to hit "record ride" on my app, we discovered that we cannot transfer data from the other bike to my app to save for posterity/records. Overall, we are very happy with these bikes & would buy them again (we bought them on sale).

Great bike path commuter

I commute on a bike path and historically have ridden class 2 bikes. This class 3 bike does a steady 20 mph, which is enough for me since my commute is mostly bike path. Seriously, no one on a public bike path should go faster than 20 mph; it's probably why you can't get a class 3 bike in Europe or Canada. Regardless, the engine is smooth and quiet, the shifting is smooth, the belt drive is solid, the geometry is dialed in... a great experience for a 27 mile a day commute to work and back.

Disappointment

Wow, the marketing really pushes the limit on what they say about this bike. There is no way on earth The battery that comes with this bike is going to take you anywhere near 80 miles. LOL. Maybe around 32 miles? The motor and TORQUE are SMALL compared to most other Ebikes out there, and it’s geared, so LOW If you’re riding in a group, you will be passed by all of your peers. make no mistake about it, this is a class one bike. You are going 20 mph at the fastest. And uphill you are going. SLOW !!! Specialized just simply shouldn’t be selling this bike. And I wish I hadn’t bought it and I’m kicking myself.

Not a fast bike

The bike is comfortable enough, but the other review is correct, the bike is not geared to go faster than ~22 mph, I suspect that the max cruising speed is in the 15-18 mph range. Mine developed a squeak after ~2 hours of riding. I don't know from where, so it might be fixable. The battery advertises an 80 mile range, and that might be true if you are using minimum power. I found that it ran out of power at ~20 miles averaging 70% boost. The belt drive has 3.5 gear settings. My bicycle had some kind of annoying rubbing in the lowest gear setting so I stopped using it. I would return it if I could, I suspect. On the other hand, I have only put ~3 hours of riding on it, so perhaps there are things that I don't see.
