Butcher BLCK DMND 2Bliss Ready

Delivery Icon

We deliver! Just say when and how.

The latest generation of the World-Cup-proven intermediate tire, the Butcher BLCK DMND 2Bliss Ready, receives sawtooth faces on the tread blocks to increase stability under load and provide additional biting edges. This in turn improves rolling speed as well as control under hard braking and cornering. Meanwhile, our proprietary GRIPTON® compound improves high frequency damping, attaching the tire to the ground better on both small bumps and rough sections. The low frequencies of the rolling tire deflections pass through unfiltered, leaving no energy absorbed, keeping speed high. Once you ride the Butcher, you'll never want another tire for your gravity excursions. The new BLCK DMND casing strikes the balance between suppleness and extreme pinch flat protection. In order to descend all-out, you need as much traction as possible—the tire needs to conform and hold on to the ground, but also protect from pinch flats. In order for this to happen, only the treaded part of the tire needs to conform, grip, and dampen, while the tire base offers stability and support for steering inputs.

Works Great Front & Back

Been running Purgatory on the back and decided to try the Butcher this time and couldn't be happier running it both front and back. The setup works terrifically on the quickly changing terrain and sketchy sections of technical SFLA trails. Sand, loose over hardback, rocky, rooty paths that can pinch ruin casings. Rubber grips great in the rain too, on trails or pavement on suburban rides.

Looks aggressive 'cause it is

Put the 29x2.3 on the front of my Stumpjumper 6fattie that's currently all 29er. The Butcher Black Diamond looks amazing and performs well. Set-up tubeless on Stan's ZTR S1 rim wasn't bad. Coaxed it on with tire levers, and after lubing the rim with soap-water, the bead snapped in place first time using compressed air. I run pressures nearer to 35 psi at the moment due to dry hard pack conditions and not infrequent street riding. The traction is amazing even at the higher pressure. Air loss is insignificant using about 3oz of sealant. Initially had around 20 psi, which offered amazing traction and comfort on some single track but chose to bump that up for the more mundane day to day riding I do. I'm not really sure if the Butcher is designed to be more of a front or rear tire, but don't think you can go wrong either way. I'm likely going to get another Butcher for a backup/replacement tire precisely because it would be so versatile. The Black Diamond version just looks so awesome too!

Excellent tyre

In 27.5x2.6 these are better than Magic Mary's ,so much more confident on them whether it be rocky descents or single track phenomenal grip , enough flex to keep the bike planted yet grippy ,I even chucked a set on my wife's Ebike and it's transformed her confidence
