2018 Contour XC Grips

Designed in conjunction with hand surgeon and avid cyclist, Dr. Kyle Bickel, the Contour XC Grips were developed to meet the high demands of cross country riders. As a result, the proprietary design greatly relieves hand pressure, while also providing maximum control. And in terms of performance, they feature an extremely tacky and durable grip, so you'll be able to rail corners and get out of the saddle with no worries.

Good Looking Grips

Very comfortable, lightweight and good looking grips, you can get them in a variety of colors to match your bike..

Specialized knows how to make stuff!

Everything I have brought from Specialized has exceeded my expectations and have lasted longer than another manufacturer. These grips are no exception. They are comfortable with long rides and I tend to sweat a lot and my hands never lose grip.

PERFECT GRIP

I've own about 4 of this grip in black (I'm not into that candy color trend) since 2015 and it's been very reliable and sturdy! Nothing is coming off like the reviews above. It's still solid from the day I bought them and I put in 2k miles a year in total. I used to have ESI foam grips because it's lightweight. I didn't really care for the ""comfort"" since I thought they're all the same until a friend of mine who does 8 hours endurance racing told me to try it and I was sold! You don't need to have death grip on these type of grips since its tacky and your palm has enough surface to stay intact with the flat area of the grip. Also is absorbs the vibration. I haven't had any hand pains ever since I switched to this. If I was to change something, I would change the width. I hope they sell this is different sizes. I have a medium size hand and I like riding on the edge of the grip and I have an inch of area close to the brakes/shifter/dropper lever that's not being used. I'd like to get rid of that area. Other than that, this grip is PERFECT.

More Tacky than Durable

Love the color and grip, but after about one year of commuting (about 3,000 miles) the blue tacky part of the grip is pilling (coming off in sticky goobers that are tough to clean off), wearing quickly, and the black plastic core is exposed. They were great all year, but am going to try the other, less tacky grips and hopefully they'll last longer.
