Had some issues with previous cages, so I upgraded to these a month ago. They came through Unbound Gravel 200 with flying colors. No issues at all with ejection of bottles or with getting access when really tired. Very happy with the purchase.
it is too tight
Cages are amazing! I no longer have worry about losing bottles when charging down rocky descents. Great value. Only 10 grams more than my old $70 titanium cages.
It does the job!
Excellent product, it transforms the way you your bottle while ridding. I don’t know why you still see standard cages?
I purchased these ( x2 ) for road cycling thinking that the side entry ( 1 right , 1 left ) would be easier to remove the bottle while riding in a group. I was wrong, these cages hold the bottle to tightly, I should have been advises that these cages ( which are now going into the garbage drawer ) are not to be used for road group cycling. The fit is way too tight as it almost locks in the bottle. Good for down hill mountain biking but not for road cycling where the removal and replacement of the water bottle should be smooth and without looking down especially at 36km per hr group rides. The sales person should have known better and advised me to other products. Waste of $ 50
It’s a bottle cage, so not much to say. I like the side entry, and it locks in the bottle really well
These are easy to remove and great quality for all types of terrain
Love it
I really like the Specialized Zee Cages! I put them on my Epic Evo and liked them so much that I replaced the bottle cages on my other bikes with them too. The bottles are easy to get in and out and I haven't had any issues at all with them coming loose.
Does the job and looks nice.
Loved the mate material and design, but beware of combining this cage with the Moflo bottle, the fit is too tight and making super hard to remove the bottle and will scratch it pretty badly
I ride on rough gravel, pothole-ridden roads, etc. So, some bumping around, but nothing extreme. While this cage may indeed hold the bottle and never let go, for my everyday riding, it's not nearly as easy to use a standard top-load cage. With a top-load cage, I keep my eyes on the road, find the cage by feel, and just push the bottle down and keep pushing until it hits the stop. Simple and quick. With this cage, I have to look down, aim the bottom of the bottle into the side opening in the cage, push it in and down until it hits the stop (on the side of the cage ...), and then push it down again another half-inch or so until it's fully seated on the bottom. Literally takes 5x longer and my eyes off the road to put the bottle back in place. I thought I would get used to it and more efficient with usage, and I have to some extent, but I'm going back to a top-load cage since my riding style doesn't need the security this thing offers, and they're much easier to use.
Looks great on the bike and ease of bottle removal is great
Looks great and good materials..
Looks beatutiyl Great quality
As a side loading cage this thing is perfect. Doesn’t let go of a bottle under any circumstance unless you want it to. One thing, grabbed a red/black one which looks great, but after only one ride the black matte coating is rubbing off, imagine eventually I’ll have an all red cage…
Works great. No issues. If running two, you will need a left and a right to have access on same side of the bike.
I don’t find it very easy to get the bottle in and out of the cage. I prefer my older bottle holder where you push the bottle in from the top.
Cage is good. I bought it to retrofit on my YT Jeffsy which is notorious for not leaving room for a water bottle. Still not sure this solves the problem but that’s not the cages fault :)
I had the Rib Cage II. It held the normal plastic water bottle so tight, it was very hard to get it out, and it broke after a few uses. I bough this Zee cage and it works perfectly. I can now get the water bottle out while riding. But it still holds it very tight for the bumps on the trails. And I can use it for the extended battery on my Levo!
Have multiple bikes fitted with the Zee II cages, both left and right. They grip the bottle extremely well, and keep the bottle secure even over the roughest terrain. Use a specialized bottle for correct fit.
These used to amazing water bottle cages! I have one from 2015 that has withstood the test of time. But recently, I've gone through 4 in the last two years that break at the same spot: near the top bolt hole. Very depressing, because while they do great while they last, I cannot justify $25 every few months.
This is the second one of these I’ve bought, to have on two bikes. Side entry is great and I’m yet to drop a bottle , even from a hardtail over pretty chunky stuff.
This cage is a perfect fit for the Status 140. Due to the rear shock location, having a top load holder would not work out very well! I had no issues pulling the bottle out from the side while riding. Flat finish goes great with the satin finish of the bike as well.
too hard to get bottle in and out of.
It’s just a bottle holder but it’s pretty awesome! I put these on my Rockhopper Expert and loved them so much I put them on my Sirrus X 4.0 as well. Lightweight but heavy duty grip. Matte Black looks great. Highly recommended. Only wish they came in orange, but that’s an East Tennessee thing. 😎
Nice and solid bottle cage. Highly recommend it
Amazing cage
Fits my needs perfect as I added a carrier under my main frame. Only way to access my bottle is sideways. It's sturdy and tight.
Right and left work well together when you have two bottle cages on your bike
Solid bottle holder. Makes it easier withe side load to retrieve and put back your bottle. No thoughts of losing a bottle either.
Excellent quality. I find it really holds onto the bottle and is very secure. Was also able to install pump holder and pump with the bottle holder
Looks great! Works great!
An excellent bottle holder that will also hold the extended battery for the Vado eBike. The holder has enough flex to accommodate slightly wider bottles and will not scratch your bottles. This design also grips bottles better than designs by other brands. However, it is too wide for the standard 16.9 fl oz Poland Spring bottles.
Perfect fit for my yeti sb130 with camelback dirt series bottle.
It works, and goes with my bike.
Great quality and variety of colour options is great.
I got this because I usually load and unload my bottle with the same hand. This makes it easier, but I still haven’t mastered the move without looking. We’ll made.
Securely hold water bottle even in rough terrain and is also easy to remove and put back in Very well engineered
does what it is supposed to do
Brilliant !! Good price, holds bottles securely and the side exit removal is great to clear rear shocks with piggyback’s.
Super easy and great way to get some quality bike gear.
Holds a water bottle tightly, even on rough terrain.
Great cage. Easy in and easy out with the bottle, but never launches the bottle.
Fits my Ripmo, I think it’s only one of two bottle holders that do. It holds the bottle snuggly - no rattle.
Good quality and works as expected.
So far so good. No complaints and what I wanted. I've gone through several bottle cages trying to find the ones I like and this one works the best for me and my needs. I use two on my down tube and then a top load on my seat tube. Not sure that is the best set up but its what I've become accustomed too and is working out.
Ideal for a smaller frame. Made loading and unloading bottle much easier, and allowed a larger bottle to be used.
Great quality
So far so good. Not sure on the durability of it yet but seems well made. 1 thing to mention which I didn’t t do, if you buy 2 and one is going on the seat post, buy the left handed one if you want them to be the same side.
Works great, well made product.
Works so much better with my large bottle on medium frame than my top loader did.
Originally bought a set for my wife’s bike. Since she rides a 44cm frame it was nearly impossible for her to use a large bottle, even a small one was difficult to get past the top tube. The cage was perfect. Strong enough to hold a bottle even in the roughest terrain. I quickly changed all my cages, especially on my full suspension MTB since spaces are also small. Making Left and Right handed cages also makes life simple. Yes, it’s hard to place a bottle in, but that’s ALWAYS an issue when you’re looking up the road. Stay Safe
I wanted a bottle cage that wouldn't lose my bottle in a gravel race. Well, I got it. I also have a hard time getting the bottle in and out, but definitely not going to lose one.
