WHAT WHEEL SIZE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

650b, 6Fattie, 29er—You've probably heard of them all, but with so many options, we understand that choosing the one right for you can be a bit daunting. Not anymore, though. Our Wheel Finder is here to shed some light on what you have to gain from each wheel platform, so whether you're new to the trail or collecting KOMs on every ride, this guide is going to be your ticket to having more fun in the dirt.

27.5-INCH WHEEL DIAMETER

6FATTIE: CONFIDENT

These tires have 56% more volume than a 29er, so you can run 25% lower tire pressures. Add it up, and this means that you keep more rubber on the dirt for a better connection to the ground. Better connection, better control.

More traction means more control, regardless of the terrain, so you'll get more grip and that leads to more confidence.

27.5-INCH WHEEL DIAMETER

650B: NIMBLE

Smaller wheels are lighter wheels, and light things are easier to move around than heavy things. And true to this logic, the smaller, lighter 650b wheels are more lively and easier to maneuver.

Wheels that are smaller fit through smaller spaces, so their better suited for tight switchbacks and technical terrain.

When you use less material to build a wheel, you end up with less weight, which means you can accelerate faster. And the faster you can accelerate, the easier it is to maneuver the bike up and down the trail.

Found on Enduro, Stumpjumper FSR, Rhyme, Camber, and Women's Camber models.

29-INCH WHEEL DIAMETER

29-INCH: FAST

The bigger the wheel, the more ground you cover every time it rolls over. This means that these wheels deliver more speed with every turn of the pedal

Being our largest wheel diameter, 29ers put more rubber on the ground than a 650b. This increased contact gives you more grip, whether it's while climbing or turning. And the more grip you have, the more stable you feel and the faster you'll go.

Like a monster truck driving over cars, having big wheels makes rolling over trail features and obstacles a breeze. And the less time you spend cutting around to ride your line, the faster you'll get down the trail.
