Roval C 38 Disc Wheelset

Roadies all drool over carbon wheels, but the price tag often puts them out of reach. The new C 38 Disc wheels break down this barrier while bringing reliable, high performance carbon road wheels to the masses.

With the C 38, we developed an all-new, lightweight, and durable carbon rim with the modern features that savvy riders demand, and then we paired it with trusty DT Swiss components, like DT 350 rear hub internals and Competition spokes, for a build that ticks all the boxes on your wish list. The new C 38s are the perfect depth (38mm), too, so they'll feel at home on everything from gravel bikes, to aero bikes, and everything in between. Note: disc rotors not included.

Bombproof do everything wheels

My LBS talked me into the C38s as an upgrade to the carbon Diverge they were building for me. Paired them with Pathfinder Pro 38mm. About 15 rides in and I could not be happier with these wheels. Stiff, smooth light and strong. They have seen already some pretty extreme gravel and single track use and can clearly stand up to everything I have thrown at them. On asphalt, they are snappy and accelerate well. From a design perspective, I love that they are built with standard, easily sourced parts. If anything ever does go wrong, they will be easy to service. Bottom line, if you are looking for a do-all wheelset for gravel/road use these are a great option.

Not same quality as 1st set

This is my 2nd set of the Roval C 38 disks. Liked the 1st set so much that I decided to get a 2nd set for my Sirrus 6.0 rail trail bike. Gave the 1st set all 5's in my review & really love them. Very reasonable price for a set of carbon wheels, excellent workmanship quality, very noticeable performance upgrade over stock DT Swiss alloy wheel set. Highly recommended them to anyone looking for a great upgrade for the modest cost. This 2nd set came thru with a noticeable difference in the quality of the workmanship...aesthetically not as nice looking as the 1st set. Some discoloration in the finish, a tiny pin hole in the side near valve stem hole, and some minor scratches. So far, they perform just as well as the 1st set & spin true. Hope Specialized stands behind the warranty if I do need to return them eventually. Just a little disappointed with the quality of workmanship with the 2nd set as compared to the 1st set. So I'll still recommend them but with that caveat.

Amazing! Huge upgrade!

I absolutely love these wheels! Roval nails it with the c 38s! Amazing ride quality! Great craftsmanship. Just overall great product! Cuts through wind great and super light weight. I paired these with the S-works Turbo Rapid Air 2bliss and I still can't get over how smooth the ride is. A must have for sure if you're in the market for a carbon wheel set.

Great wheel , great value

I just put the c38's on my Allez sprint. Set them up with s-work turbo 2bliss 28c tires. Came stock with dt Swiss aluminum wheels . I knew when I bought the bike I would be up grading to a better wheel set as soon as extra funds came in because we all know carbon wheels aren't cheap . Huge difference! These wheels are lighter and dt Swiss 350 hubs are so much better . Not to mention they are very appealing to the eye . Look amazing on my bike . Money well spent . I was gonna go for a more expensive cl50 which are amazing wheels but very happy I chose these . I just don't think you can beat the value on this wheel set. The 38 rim depth looks perfect with the venge seat post . Just awesome . Loving them . Climb great , sprint great , roll great And smooth . Great wheelset for the money

Great Upgrade for my Bike

These wheels are stealth! You can barely hear them even when coasting at high speed. They are buttery smooth, strong and stiff. The hubs are faster than the DT Swiss hubs that came stock on my 2019 Roubaix Comp. Very happy I made this purchase!

Yes!

The 50s came from the factory on my Tarmac Pro 2020. Extremely well rolling and durable. Great wheels all around!

Great Decision

I added these to my BMC RoadMachine, to upgrade over the standard DT Swiss aluminum wheels. This is my first set of carbon wheels and to be honest, I really wasn't expecting to notice a big difference. I am really impressed with how stiff, light and lively these wheels feel. It is an excellent upgrade and when you combine the budget price of the C38's along with the fantastic replacement guarantee/warranty, it is an upgrade I highly recommend.

Fantastic Upgrade!

Put these on a brand new 2019/20 Diverge Comp in essence turning it into and Expert. The benefit for me was having the full Ultegra set up instead of the SRAM. Back to the wheelset, set up tubeless with the Sawtooth tires it came with. Have had them for a week with 2 rides of 20+ miles on a combo of dirt fire roads, gravel, and pavement. They are very compliant and the power transfer is awesome. Super responsive and roll true. Was worried about the 38mm depth on a gravel bike but that was put to rest on a paved decent where I hit 40+ mph and felt really stable. The results were the same in dirt descents, just not that much speed, nut very stable. Overall I would say they are confidence inspiring.

Excellent value and performance

Wheels came on new Roubaix Expert. I set them up tubeless with Schwalbe Pro 700x30, running 75psi back / 65psi front ( I'm 180 lbs). Ride is excellent on rough roads and near heavenly on smooth roads. Zips or Enve might be a tad less in weight for similar wheelset, yet they'll cost 2x more. At 62, riding 150 miles a weeks - I'm looking for value/performance/comfort vs. a logo
